Cookie Policy

Editor: Updated

This policy concerns cookies and similar browser storage associated with albertaslotsguide.com. It should be read with our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure.

What cookies do

A cookie is a small record stored by a website in a browser. It can help a service recognise a session or remember a setting. Other browser storage can serve similar purposes. Cookies differ by purpose, who sets them and how long they remain; not every website uses the same set.

A record kept by a hosting service about a page request is a server log, not a cookie. Blocking cookies does not prevent every form of technical information from being processed when a page is requested.

The current website

The current build contains no visitor analytics or advertising pixel integration. We have not added a newsletter sign-up, public visitor registration or comment form. The site’s page layout, fonts and navigation assets are served locally, rather than through an added third-party font or embedded media service.

WordPress may set cookies for people signing in to administer the website. Those cookies support functions such as authentication, account security and administration preferences. A visitor who simply reads the public pages does not need an administrator session. We do not describe sign-in cookies as visitor analytics.

Hosting or security infrastructure can change, and browser extensions or other software may introduce their own activity. If this website introduces a new storage or tracking feature, we should assess it and update the relevant notice rather than assume it is covered by this description.

External links and affiliate tracking

Following an external link takes you to a separate service. A casino, affiliate network or support site may set its own cookies or process referral information. The destination controls those functions, so read its privacy and cookie notices before using an account or accepting its choices.

A local /visit/ referral URL redirects to a saved external destination. That route can identify a referral campaign, but it is not an account or checkout on Alberta Slots Guide. The affiliate disclosure describes why such links may be used.

Your browser controls

Your browser settings normally allow you to inspect stored site data, delete cookies, restrict third-party cookies or block storage. The available controls depend on the browser and device. Deleting site data can sign you out of services or remove saved preferences. It does not delete an account or information already held by an external provider.

Use the help menu for your browser for its current instructions. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada also offers guidance on protecting personal information online.
