ACE Airport Casino
An airport-area property with live tables, electronic arena gaming and a poker room. Its own pages use several different machine totals, so the comparison uses the dedicated slots-and-VLTs page’s combined figure rather than calling it an exact slot-only inventory.

A separate ACE property on Blackfoot Trail, with slots, VLTs, live tables and a VIP slot area. Use this property’s details rather than applying the Airport casino’s opening times or poker facilities to it.

Cowboys Casino
A city venue offering slots, live tables, electronic games and poker, with food at Centre Bar & Eatery. The slot page distinguishes its main floor, Six Shooter high-limit lounge and Digital Gaming Pit.

A city option with slots, live table games, off-track betting and a poker room. The operator also advertises underground parking, dining and live entertainment. Its poker schedule extends beyond the general casino-hours headline on some days.

A northeast Calgary property with a 24-hour slot floor and poker room. The operator identifies Meridian Central dining and entertainment alongside the gaming facilities. Live-table hours remain separate from the around-the-clock slot schedule.

Grey Eagle Resort & Casino
A resort on Tsuut’ina Nation, with a hotel, dining and an event centre in addition to the casino. Treat the casino, hotel and event-centre addresses as distinct arrival details when planning a combined outing.

The homepage advertises more than 650 slots and VLTs, while the dedicated gaming page uses a broader 600+ machines description. This is shown as a combined published headline rather than a precise inventory of slots alone.
Choose a location before comparing the gaming floor
Start with the part of the Calgary area you actually want to visit. ACE Airport and ACE Blackfoot share a brand but have different addresses, floor descriptions and opening information. Cowboys and Elbow River are separate city venues. Deerfoot Inn & Casino is a southeast hotel property, PURE Calgary is on Meridian Road NE, Grey Eagle is on Tsuut’ina Nation and Century Downs is in Rocky View County.
Those distinctions make a route useful. A casino described as serving Calgary is not necessarily near your hotel, airport terminal or other evening plans. Enter the complete street address in your route planner and check the correct entrance. If you intend to attend a show, compare the event-centre address with the casino address instead of assuming both services use the same door.
For a city outing that includes a meal or another event, decide which booking fixes your schedule. Leave time to arrive, find parking and get back to your next stop. If the casino is optional, do not let a late arrival create pressure to rush through a session. You can have dinner or attend a show without allocating money to the gaming floor.
Read slots, tables and poker schedules separately
The comparison’s hours field describes the service stated in that row. It is not a promise about every room in the building. PURE Calgary and Grey Eagle publish 24-hour slot schedules with shorter live-table hours. Deerfoot’s general casino hours differ from its 24-hour poker-room statement. Elbow River publishes a poker schedule that extends beyond its general casino headline on some days.
A poker room being open also does not establish that your preferred game is running, that a tournament is accepting entries or that a seat is immediately available. Use the current room information and ask about the game you want. Likewise, a live-table inventory is a published facility description, not a count of staffed tables at a particular moment.
Do not confuse electronic table games with a live dealer pit. Century Downs advertises electronic gaming as part of its floor. A seat at an electronic roulette or blackjack terminal can have different rules and limits from a live table elsewhere. Read the specific game information before comparing it with another property’s advertised selection.
The ACE listings need particular care. Airport’s main location panel and its footer disagree about Sunday opening; Blackfoot’s main hours panel and secondary footer also differ. The exact contradictions are noted in the cards. We have not filled those gaps with a guessed Sunday schedule. If either venue is the reason for a special journey, call the relevant property first.
What the machine figures do and do not tell you
Published counts use different categories. Some operators give slots and VLTs separately, while others describe a combined machine selection. This guide keeps those labels visible. The 670 figure at ACE Airport and the 637 figure at Blackfoot are presented with their combined wording. Century Downs’ combined homepage headline is not treated as a precise slot-only total.
A high-limit room can also be part of a published total. Deerfoot’s slot page gives a floor figure and describes a high-limit room, but that does not establish that the second number should be added to the first. Double-counting the room would create a larger inventory that the source does not support. The guide therefore leaves the operator’s total intact.
More cabinets do not mean a better result for a visitor. The same title can appear on several machines, and denominations, bet settings and features can differ. Read the game’s rules and total stake. Neither a venue’s size nor an old jackpot photograph establishes the return of a machine today. RTP describes long-run game mathematics, and volatility concerns variation in outcomes. They do not predict a short visit. A displayed progressive prize also has game-specific eligibility rules; check those before deciding what to stake.
Parking, accessibility and the journey home
Check parking for your actual date and purpose. Ask whether the lot is on the property, whether validation is required and whether any event-day or overnight restrictions apply. An operator advertising parking spaces does not establish that every nearby stall is free or available. Keep the parking confirmation separate from a restaurant, room or event booking.
If accessibility affects the visit, ask specific questions about the route from your arrival point. Confirm step-free access, the relevant doorway, elevators, washrooms and the distance to the service you plan to use. For a show, ask about the seat itself as well as building entry. A general casino listing is not an accessibility assessment of every part of a resort.
Decide how you will return before leaving home. Check the last service if using transit and identify a suitable pickup point for a taxi or arranged lift. Keep transport money separate from any gambling allowance. An airport-area address does not mean the casino is inside the terminal or that a hotel transfer is included; check the actual arrangements.
Before you go: entry, dining and a spending limit
Casino gaming in Alberta is for adults aged 18 and over. Bring valid government-issued photo identification and check the venue’s requirements. If a hotel, restaurant or event is part of a mixed-age outing, ask which non-gaming areas the group may use and which route is permitted. Do not treat a resort’s general family facilities as permission to enter its gaming floor.
For food, check the kitchen’s service hours, not just the bar or building opening time. For accommodation, read the room and cancellation terms and confirm whether it is on the property or nearby. Grey Eagle publishes separate casino, hotel and event-centre addresses; Deerfoot lists different hotel and casino phone numbers. Use the contact intended for the question.
Set a money limit and a leaving time before arriving. Keep bills, meals and the return journey outside the gambling amount. Stop when you reach either limit instead of using another withdrawal to chase a result.
