PURE Casino Yellowhead is an Edmonton gaming and entertainment property with round-the-clock slots and poker, a high-limit room, several dining options and the Pearl Showroom. Its northwest Edmonton address distinguishes it from PURE Casino Edmonton on Argyll Road, so check the property name before arranging a game, meal or show.
The most useful planning detail is the difference between services. The casino’s twenty-four-hour operation does not extend every live game, VLT, restaurant or lounge through the night. This guide separates those schedules, gives the poker room’s direct number and explains what to confirm for a showroom visit or private event.

Getting to the right PURE casino in Edmonton
Yellowhead is at 12464 153 Street NW, near the Yellowhead Trail and 149 Street area described by Travel Alberta. Use the complete address in a map or lift booking. A message saying only “PURE Casino” is insufficient when the city has another property under the same brand.
Travel Alberta lists free parking and Wi-Fi. For a particular entrance, accessible parking position or a larger vehicle, ask the property about the arrangement that fits your visit. A general parking listing does not describe every space or guarantee a place immediately beside the entrance.
Choose the return journey as well as the outward route. Someone arriving for dinner may leave at a very different hour from a person attending a late poker session. Share a definite meeting place and departure time if members of the group will use different rooms.
Our Edmonton casino guide covers the wider city. The separate PURE Casino Edmonton guide is for Argyll Road. Its restaurants, contact numbers and room arrangements should not be applied to Yellowhead.
Casino hours, VLT hours and live-table times
| Service | Published period | Planning detail |
|---|---|---|
| Slots and poker | 24 hours daily | Confirm a specific game, stake or available seat. |
| VLTs | Daily 9am–4am | The closing time falls on the following calendar day. |
| Live tables | Daily 10am–3am | Friday’s period ends at 3am Saturday; individual games need confirmation. |
Slots and the poker room are advertised as open around the clock. VLTs and live tables have their own daily opening periods, shown in the quick facts above. If one game is the reason for travelling, its schedule is the relevant one rather than the broad casino opening.
A late finish also needs a clear calendar date. Leaving at 2am after a Friday-evening arrival means departing on Saturday. Use the actual date and time when arranging a driver, accommodation or another commitment instead of describing the whole visit as Friday night.
What a room schedule tells you
Opening hours tell you when the service is scheduled to operate. They do not establish which poker stakes are running, whether a particular pit game has an open seat or which electronic terminal is free. Name the game and intended arrival time when asking staff for current information.
A short visit works best with a defined purpose. For an early table-game outing, start with the table opening rather than arriving during the slot-only part of the morning. For an overnight poker visit, plan food separately: a twenty-four-hour room does not make every kitchen a twenty-four-hour restaurant.
Allow breaks without automatically changing to another gambling activity. A meal, conversation or journey home can be the next part of the evening even when the casino remains open. Set the intended finish before starting rather than using the building’s latest available service as the departure time.
Slot machines, VLTs and advertised floor size
The operator describes more than seven hundred slot machines. Travel Alberta gives a more detailed advertised listing of over 770 slots, ten VLTs and twenty-six live-action tables. We retain the operator’s broader slot figure in the summary and identify the tourism listing separately rather than presenting an exact current inventory as personally counted.
The dedicated slot page names American Original and Alberta Gold among its progressive examples. Check the machine and qualifying wager when a specific prize feature matters to you. A title on a property website is an advertised option, not a reservation of that machine or confirmation of its displayed prize at arrival.
Read the cash stake before the first spin
A credit denomination and the total amount staked on a round can be different. Multiple credits, selected lines or an optional feature can change the cash amount. Check the final selected wager after making an adjustment, even when the screen looks similar to the previous machine.
Use the help screen to understand the winning combinations, feature rules and cash-out controls. Ask an attendant about unfamiliar buttons before using them. Knowing how to stop, collect remaining credits and redeem a ticket is as useful as knowing how to start a round.
Include tickets and remaining credits in the same spending record as cash. A move across the floor does not start a new budget. Our slot mechanics guide, RTP explanation and volatility guide cover the terms without predicting the result of a short visit. The slot rules guide explains paytables, wager settings and feature instructions.
Live table games and choosing the right format
The table-games page lists baccarat, blackjack, craps, Pai Gow, roulette and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. It also describes versions such as EZ Baccarat, Free Bet Blackjack and progressive options. Ask which version is running if the rules of a particular game are important to the visit.
The table minimum is only part of the decision. Read the posted payout and rules before buying in, and understand whether completing a round can require later wagers. A small opening wager does not necessarily describe the total money needed to take every available decision.
Different games need different questions
- Blackjack: establish the variant, main payout and permitted decisions before relying on a strategy chart.
- Baccarat: identify the exact version and settlement rules; similar branding does not make every payout identical.
- Roulette: inspect the wheel and betting layout rather than assuming they match a previous venue.
- Craps: ask which placements are available at the current stage of the round before putting chips down.
- Pai Gow: use the complete game name, since tiles and card-based versions should not be confused.
- Ultimate Texas Hold’em: understand the required opening and later wagers; this is a casino game against the dealer, separate from the poker room.
Optional side bets have their own conditions and cost. Include them in the same chosen spending limit rather than treating them as an uncounted addition. It is reasonable to watch a round or ask for a rule explanation before taking a seat.
For background, use our payout guide and side-bet explanation. The actual table’s posted conditions remain the reference for play.
The high-limit room and host inquiries
Yellowhead promotes a high-limit room and private gaming with host assistance. Its overview specifically mentions baccarat and blackjack installations, while the contact page also refers to Pai Gow. These descriptions should not be used as a guarantee that a particular private table is available without arranging it.
For a hosted visit, explain the date, group size, game and intended arrival. Ask what access requires and which conditions apply to the proposed arrangement. Obtain an actual response before making travel plans around a private room or a specific table.
Keep hospitality arrangements separate from the money intended for gaming. A meal, transport or accommodation item should be confirmed on its own terms rather than assumed to be included because a host is involved. Ask for the total cost of anything you are being offered.
The word high-limit does not make a game suitable for every budget. Choose the amount and time available for entertainment first. A regular-floor option, a meal-only visit or leaving after the show can all fit the evening without increasing spending to meet a room’s conditions.
Electronic roulette and the eight-seat Multi-Game table
The electronic-games page describes two different installations: automated roulette with six seats, and an eight-seat Multi-Game table offering blackjack, baccarat, three-card poker and roulette. Those seat figures describe equipment, not the number of vacant positions currently available.
Read the particular terminal’s instructions before joining. Find the selected stake, betting timer, confirmation controls and cash-out process. A familiar game name does not mean the interface or available wagers will match another electronic installation.
When changing games, check the cash amount again. Adding placements or optional wagers can change the total without changing the basic denomination you first selected. If you are unsure what a button does, ask an attendant before confirming a bet.
The electronic page also describes a Golden Ball roulette side wager. Consult the actual terminal for its rules and payout information rather than transferring assumptions from ordinary roulette bets. A separate side feature should be understood and costed separately within the same overall limit.
Twenty-four-hour poker and the direct room number
The dedicated poker page confirms a twenty-four-hour room and supplies 780-497-7657 as its direct telephone number. Use that line for a game-specific inquiry instead of relying only on the casino switchboard.
The operator links to Yellowhead’s PokerAtlas page for current and upcoming tournaments and cash games. Look at the relevant date and format. A room operating all night does not establish that every game or stake is continuously available.
Cash games and tournaments need different information
For cash play, ask about the current game, stakes, buy-in and waiting list. Explain when you expect to arrive and ask how to join the list. A listing seen before leaving home is useful preparation, but it is not a held seat unless the room confirms that arrangement.
For a tournament, check the entry fee, starting time, registration deadline, re-entry conditions and structure. Consider how long the format may take before committing to return transport. A tournament and a short cash session are different ways to organise an evening.
The page advertises a poker-room food menu. Check the available service and ordering process with the room rather than assuming the complete dining offer is available throughout every hour of poker.
Tour schedules and dated jackpot displays
A November 15–29, 2026 Yellowhead tour period was advertised when this guide was checked. Use the official poker page for the current schedule before arranging a tournament trip. Old series notices and another PURE property’s listings should not replace the relevant Yellowhead event information.
The website also shows poker prize and points figures with an update date. They are dated snapshots, so this guide does not reproduce them as live amounts or imply that a displayed pot is available to every hand or visitor.
SNAX, Retro and Social dining hours
Yellowhead’s dining page separates casual food, Retro service and the weekend Social lounge. Use the outlet’s own hours when deciding where and when to eat.
| Outlet | Published service |
|---|---|
| SNAX Pantry & Wok | Daily 11am–2am |
| Retro Kitchen & Bar | Sun–Thu 9:30am–2pm and 4:30pm–9pm; Fri–Sat 9:30am–2pm and 4:30pm–10pm |
| Social Bar & Lounge | Fri–Sat 5pm–1am |
The Retro listing includes a gap between afternoon and evening service. The same page advertises twenty-four-hour Friday and Saturday liquor service at Retro Bar; that should not be read as twenty-four-hour kitchen service.
Choose a meal interval that leaves time for the next activity. If a show has a fixed start, work backwards from that time rather than ordering immediately before doors open. For a poker visit, decide whether a proper meal break fits better than eating while remaining at the table.
Raise dietary requirements, group size and billing arrangements before the visit. Ask about current menu availability and last food orders when arriving near a finishing time. The official dining page provides the menu links; a photograph or past special should not be treated as today’s complete menu.
Pearl Showroom performances and ticket planning
The Pearl Showroom presents live entertainment, sports and other events, with dinner and drink service promoted at seats. Consult the dated event listing for the actual admission, seating and food arrangement rather than assuming every performance follows one format.
The current programme illustrates the variety, including music tributes, Art Battle and seasonal performances. Line-ups change, so use the official Pearl Showroom listings to reach the relevant details and ticket seller.
Read the final ticket information carefully: event date, doors, performance start, seat or admission category, fees and delivery method. A ticket link attached to an older listing may still appear after its date, so check the event itself before planning the evening.
For friends arriving separately, decide whether to meet at the room or dine beforehand. A dinner booking does not automatically reserve show seats, and an entertainment ticket should not be assumed to include a meal unless stated. Share the confirmed arrangement with the whole party.
Ask about the seating position and route into the room if access or sightlines matter. A general description of screens, sound equipment or a stage is not a seating plan. The event-specific response is more useful than assuming all setups match a previous visit.
Private rooms, capacities and group bookings
The event-booking page offers Pearl Showroom, Social Bar & Lounge and Retro’s private dining room. Their different sizes make the intended layout and purpose important.
| Room | Advertised capacity | Planning detail |
|---|---|---|
| Pearl Showroom | Event page: up to 300 seated or 500 standing | Stage, dance floor, bar and audiovisual facilities; obtain the capacity for your setup |
| Social Bar & Lounge | Up to 50 guests | Bar, projector, screen and televisions |
| Retro private dining | Up to 15 guests | Smaller meals and reception-style arrangements |
The dining page contains both a 250-seated Pearl description and a separate passage matching the event page’s 300-seated figure. Both give up to 500 standing. Because the published figures differ, confirm the room plan and permitted headcount for your event instead of choosing the largest number as a guaranteed dinner capacity.
Send inquiries to bookings@purecanadiangaming.com and identify Yellowhead. Include the preferred date, guest count, event type and food or bar requirements. The property’s form distinguishes menu service, plated meals and buffets, plus cash-bar and host-bar options.
Ask for a proposal covering setup access, room hire, equipment, food, staffing and the complete cost. Keep the agreed payment and cancellation terms with the booking confirmation. An inquiry alone does not establish that the room is held.
For an event involving presentations or entertainment, specify the equipment and sound needs before settling the layout. Share a simple running order with the organiser: guest arrival, meal, speeches or performance, and finish. This helps establish whether the proposed room works for the actual occasion.
PURE Rewards and Winner’s Edge
The player-programmes page describes PURE Rewards and Winner’s Edge as separate programmes. PURE Rewards advertises a ten-percent food-and-beverage discount excluding alcohol, specials and promotions. Check eligibility for the actual order rather than assuming every item receives a reduction.
Winner’s Edge covers eligible slot and electronic-table activity and has its own point and redemption arrangements. Ask which card records the relevant activity, how it is used and what current conditions apply. A membership description does not make every promotional offer available on every visit.
Keep rewards apart from cash, cash-out tickets and the amount reserved for getting home. A point balance is not automatically a cash balance. Establish what can be redeemed and when before including it in the cost of the visit.
Choose the spending limit before considering a reward threshold. Extra play can cost more than the benefit being pursued. A meal discount or loyalty offer is most useful when it fits an outing already planned, rather than becoming a reason to extend it.
Access, overnight plans and the complete visit budget
Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. The operator also expressly describes Pearl Showroom as an 18+ venue with no minors permitted. A meal reservation, event ticket or private-room inquiry does not override the venue’s entry conditions.
For an access inquiry, describe the exact route you need: parking to entrance, entrance to a dining room, or the path into a booked showroom area. Ask about suitable seating and washrooms where relevant. A specific question is more useful than a general request to confirm that the building is accessible.
If staying overnight, confirm accommodation separately, including the address, check-in deadline, total cost and journey back from the casino. This guide does not treat the casino’s overnight gaming as an accommodation booking.
Set aside food and transport costs before deciding what is available for gaming. Count slots, tables and poker together rather than restarting the limit when changing rooms. Our budget calculator helps organise the complete outing, and the gambling support page provides help information.
The Alberta casino directory covers other destinations. For different Edmonton settings, see Grand Villa Casino or River Cree Resort & Casino. Compare the activity and journey you want rather than transferring one property’s hours to another.
PURE Casino Yellowhead FAQs
Yellowhead is at 12464 153 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5V 1S5. The main casino number is 780-424-9467 and the dedicated poker line is 780-497-7657. This is separate from PURE Casino Edmonton on Argyll Road. Use the full property name and address when arranging a ride, meal, game or showroom visit. No. Slots and poker are advertised as open 24 hours daily. VLTs are daily 9am–4am and live tables daily 10am–3am, checked November 1, 2026. An overnight closing time falls on the following calendar day. Dining, lounge and showroom arrangements are separate. Opening hours do not guarantee every advertised game is running or that a particular seat is vacant. The operator’s overview says more than seven hundred slots. Travel Alberta separately lists over 770 slots, ten VLTs and twenty-six live-action tables. Those are attributed published descriptions, not a personally counted current inventory. The broader slot figure and more detailed tourism listing should not be added together or used to promise a particular machine, open table or vacant seat. The electronic-games page describes six-seat automated roulette and a separate eight-seat Multi-Game installation with blackjack, baccarat, three-card poker and roulette. It also describes a Golden Ball roulette side wager. Check the terminal’s actual rules, total cash wager, timer and cash-out controls. Installation capacity is distinct from vacancies, and electronic conditions should not be assumed identical to a nearby live table. Call the dedicated poker line or use the operator-linked Yellowhead PokerAtlas listing. Ask about the current game, stakes, buy-in, waiting list and arrival procedure. For tournaments, check the actual date, registration and format. The operator advertises a November 15–29, 2026 Yellowhead tour period. Its jackpot and points figures are dated snapshots; confirm current values and full eligibility with the room. No. Retro Kitchen & Bar is listed 9:30am–2pm and 4:30pm–9pm Sunday–Thursday, with the evening period ending at 10pm Friday–Saturday. Its separate twenty-four-hour Friday–Saturday liquor-service description does not extend those kitchen periods. SNAX is daily 11am–2am; Social Bar & Lounge is Friday–Saturday 5pm–1am. Confirm the available menu and last orders for your arrival time. The event information advertises Pearl up to three hundred seated or five hundred standing. The dining page also contains a two-hundred-and-fifty-seated description, so obtain the permitted capacity for the actual setup. Social Bar & Lounge is advertised up to fifty and Retro private dining up to fifteen. Confirm the room, layout, equipment, food and total cost; an inquiry does not reserve it. The operator describes separate programmes. PURE Rewards advertises a ten-percent food-and-beverage discount excluding alcohol, specials and promotions. Ask staff which card records your activity and which conditions apply to the actual purchase. A points balance is not automatically cash, a poker reservation or an event ticket. Keep any reward threshold separate from the spending limit and departure time already chosen. Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo ID; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Pearl Showroom is also expressly described as 18+ with no minors. Travel Alberta lists free parking and Wi-Fi, but ask about the entrance, suitable parking and route you need. Those amenities do not establish overnight parking permission, an included hotel stay or an inspected accessible route.Where is PURE Casino Yellowhead and which number reaches poker?
