On this page
Red Deer Resort & Casino brings a hotel, gaming floor, dining and event facilities together at 3310 50 Avenue. It suits several different outings: an afternoon at the tables, dinner with friends, a poker tournament or an overnight stay with time for the pool and other hotel amenities.
This is the resort property, separate from ACE Casino Red Deer on 67 Street. The practical details below distinguish casino, hotel and restaurant contacts, explain the published gaming schedules and identify conflicting hours on the operator’s pages. Room arrangements, meals and entertainment can then be planned around the activity you actually want.

Information checked November 1, 2026. The detailed casino page, general FAQ and some poker/VLT descriptions show different hours. Their differences are explained below; confirm a late arrival with the casino.
Location, arrivals and choosing the right entrance
Use the complete 50 Avenue address when arranging directions, a taxi or a lift. The casino and hotel share the resort destination, but the service you need determines where to begin. Tell a driver whether you are checking into the hotel, meeting a restaurant party or attending an event.
AGLC’s directory independently lists the property and its casino number. The resort’s own accommodation page advertises free guest parking, accessible spaces and on-site Tesla charging. For a particular entrance or parking requirement, contact the property with the details rather than assuming every part of the site has the same route.
If friends arrive separately, choose a named meeting place and send everyone the same address. A conference group, hotel guest and casino visitor may enter with different plans. A clear meeting time also helps anyone who wants dinner or entertainment without joining the gaming part of the outing.
Our Red Deer casino guide covers the city’s choices. The ACE Casino Red Deer guide describes the separate 67 Street property; its gaming counts, hours and contact details should not be applied here.
Gaming hours and the differences between published schedules
The following periods come from the operator’s dedicated casino page. They separate slot and VLT operation from live tables instead of applying one opening time to the whole resort.
| Activity | Published casino-page schedule |
|---|---|
| Slots | Mon–Thu 9:30am–3am; continuous weekend period listed from Friday 9am to Monday 3am |
| VLTs | Sun–Thu 9:30am–3am; Fri–Sat 10am–4am |
| Live tables | Sun–Wed 2pm–1am; Thu–Sat 2pm–2am |
The general FAQ instead gives shorter casino closing times: 11pm on Monday–Thursday and Sunday, and midnight on Friday–Saturday. The dining page also shows a different VLT Lounge period. These are conflicting published descriptions, so the detailed gaming schedule is identified by source rather than presented as a resolved guarantee.
What to confirm for a late visit
Call the casino and name the activity, day and arrival time. An answer about hotel reception does not establish that a live table, VLT or poker game is operating. The hotel’s twenty-four-hour front desk is a separate service.
An overnight finish belongs to the next calendar day. If you arrive on Friday evening and leave after midnight, give your driver the Saturday departure time. Set the intended finish before starting rather than allowing the longest advertised opening period to determine the length of the visit.
Slots, VLTs and the gaming floor
The advertised slot and VLT figures describe separate categories. The resort also promotes a 38,000-square-foot casino. Floor area helps describe the overall setting, but it does not identify how many machines are free or confirm the availability of a particular title.
Alberta Gold, House of Dragon, Lightning Link and Magic Treasures appear as featured games on the casino page. If one title is the reason for travelling, ask whether it is currently available. A website example is not a held machine or a live inventory of the floor.
Understand the selected wager
The value of a credit can differ from the total cash amount used in a round. Multiple credits, selected lines or optional features can change the stake. Read the final amount after adjusting settings or switching machines, even when the screen looks familiar.
Check the help screen for winning combinations, feature rules and any qualifying conditions attached to a progressive prize. Ask an attendant to explain unfamiliar controls. Knowing how to collect remaining credits and redeem a cash-out ticket is part of understanding the machine.
Keep tickets and remaining credits in the same record as cash spending. Moving to another game does not restart the budget. Our slot mechanics guide, RTP guide and volatility explanation cover those terms without forecasting a result for the visit. The slot rules guide explains paytables, selected wagers and feature instructions.
The main pit and current game descriptions
The casino page advertises ten main-pit tables and names blackjack, EZ Baccarat, roulette and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Confirm the actual game and variant running at your intended arrival rather than treating the equipment count as a list of staffed, vacant seats.
The same page retains a Chase the Flush card alongside a notice announcing its termination after a July–August 2026 notice period. This guide therefore does not list it as a confirmed current option simply because the older game description remains visible.
Read the conditions of the game you join
Look at the minimum, payout and required wagers before buying in. Some casino games need more than one opening placement or a later decision that adds money to the round. The smallest amount on a sign may not describe the complete cost of playing a hand through.
Ultimate Texas Hold’em is a casino game against the dealer, distinct from the separate poker room. Likewise, a named blackjack or baccarat version should not be assumed to follow every rule of a version played elsewhere. Use the full game name when asking staff for an explanation.
Side wagers have their own conditions and cost. Include them within the same chosen limit rather than adding them without counting the amount. Watching a round or asking a question is a reasonable way to approach an unfamiliar table.
Our payout explanation and side-bet guide provide background. The posted conditions at the actual table remain the reference for play.
Poker tournaments, cash games and a closing-time conflict
The operator advertises daily tournament starts at 2pm and 6:30pm. The poker-hours block follows the live-table closing pattern, while another sentence says cash games start at 2pm and continue until 10am. Those statements do not establish one unambiguous overnight room schedule.
Use the casino number to ask for current poker information before travelling for a late game. Give the intended date and format. A tournament start and the availability of a cash game are different questions, and neither is answered solely by the number of tables in the room.
Preparing for a tournament
Establish the buy-in, fee, starting stack, blind structure, registration deadline and re-entry arrangements. Consider the likely duration when arranging a ride home. A short afternoon plan and a tournament that continues into the evening require different commitments.
For cash play, ask about the game, stakes, buy-in and waiting list. Decide what to do if there is no immediate seat: a meal or a break can fill the interval without starting a second gambling session elsewhere on the floor.
The resort’s next Alberta Poker Battle is promoted with a notice to watch for a future tournament. This guide does not turn that placeholder into a dated event, entry price or guaranteed prize pool. Use the official casino page and a direct room inquiry for the current arrangement.
Casino Restaurant, HIY Steaks and the lounges
The resort has several dining settings, so choose the outlet as well as the meal time. The following dining-page schedules describe separate services.
| Outlet | Published hours |
|---|---|
| Casino Restaurant | Mon–Thu and Sun 9am–11pm; Fri–Sat 9am–2am |
| HIY Steaks breakfast / brunch | Mon–Fri 7am–11am; Sat 7am–noon; Sun 7am–2pm |
| HIY Steaks dinner | Wed–Sat 5pm–9pm |
| Garden Terrace Lounge | Mon–Sat 11am–midnight; Sun 2pm–10pm |
| VLT Lounge dining listing | Daily 10am–midnight; differs from the casino-page VLT schedule |
The Casino Restaurant has its own contact number. For a table there, use that line rather than assuming a hotel reservation also covers a restaurant booking. Ask about the food available near the end of service, since a late menu can differ from the full daytime selection.
HIY’s evening period is limited to specified days; a hotel stay on another night should not be planned around an assumed steakhouse dinner. The official dining page provides menu links and the current outlet descriptions.
For a group, raise headcount, dietary requirements, separate bills and any fixed departure early. Allow time to order and eat before poker registration or an event. Someone coming only for the meal can have a complete outing without joining the gaming activity.
Hotel rooms and choosing an overnight stay
The hotel offers traditional and deluxe rooms, Club Level rooms and several suites. The room types differ in layout and included access, so compare the actual category rather than relying on a general resort photograph.
| Category | Advertised distinction |
|---|---|
| Traditional | 237 square feet; king bed |
| Deluxe | 323 square feet; king or two queens |
| Club Level | 323 square feet; king or two queens; eligible Club Lounge access |
| One Bedroom Suite | 484 square feet; separate living room |
| Jacuzzi Suite | 484 square feet; private Jacuzzi tub |
| Vice Presidential Suite | 1,302 square feet; king bed; bi-level layout |
| Presidential Suite | 1,625 square feet; king bed; bi-level layout |
Room choice should follow the way you will use the stay. Separate living space can matter for a longer visit, while bed configuration matters for friends sharing. Ask about occupancy and the exact room layout before confirming a booking.
Compare the complete quoted cost and cancellation terms for the chosen dates. A general promotional heading does not establish that every room, arrival day or package is available. Keep the hotel confirmation separate from restaurant, poker and entertainment arrangements.
The official accommodation page supplies room descriptions and the booking route. Use the hotel’s contact for a specific room requirement rather than a casino-floor inquiry.
Check-in, deposits and pet arrangements
The accommodation page gives a 4pm check-in and 11am check-out, with early or late arrangements available on request. A request is not a confirmed extension. If arriving before the room is ready, ask what arrival and luggage arrangements the hotel can provide.
The listed damage-deposit arrangement requires a credit card and advertises a $125–$500 preauthorisation, with a higher hold for suites. Confirm the applicable hold with the hotel before booking, especially for a suite. Keep that amount distinct from the quoted room price and the money allocated to the rest of the visit.
Pet-friendly rooms are advertised for cats and dogs, with a surcharge per stay and a maximum of two pets per room. Confirm the appropriate room and current conditions in advance. A general pet-friendly description does not mean every room category is offered on the same basis.
For a shared booking, agree who is named on the room, the expected arrival and how costs will be divided. Give the hotel a clear headcount. A casino visit does not replace registration for the people staying overnight.
Pool, fitness facilities and Club Lounge access
The amenities page lists the indoor pool and hot tub for hotel guests from 6am to 10pm daily, plus a twenty-four-hour guest fitness centre. Sauna and steam facilities are associated with the pool area. These are hotel amenities, not an automatic benefit of entering the casino.
The Club Lounge is restricted to Club Level guests and is listed from 6am to midnight. Its advertised food and refreshment offering belongs to that eligible room arrangement. It should not be confused with a public restaurant available to every casino visitor.
Plan amenity time around the hotel stay. A late gaming session may finish after the pool closes, while a morning swim needs to fit breakfast and checkout. Ask about any temporary service change if a particular facility is central to the booking.
The property also lists a business centre and four Tesla Supercharger stations, with charging fees applying. Confirm vehicle compatibility and current charging conditions rather than assuming a charging point is free because guest parking is complimentary.
Sports viewing, comedy and an evening out
The resort homepage promotes live sports on screens in the VLT Lounge, and the dining information points to comedy at HIY Steaks. Check the dated programme and the actual room before making a trip around a particular performance or broadcast.
A screen-equipped lounge does not guarantee that every requested match will be shown with sound or that a group can sit together. Give staff the event, date and party size when asking about a sports visit. The room’s own operating period still matters.
For comedy or another ticketed occasion, establish doors, start time, seating and what admission includes. A dinner reservation and an entertainment ticket are separate unless the specific event combines them. Share the confirmed arrangement with everyone attending.
Build the evening around the fixed part first. An event start, group meal or hotel check-in is easier to plan around than an open-ended casino session. Agree on a departure time, particularly if friends will separate between the hotel, dining areas and gaming floor.
Meetings, weddings and large event bookings
The meetings page advertises an events centre with capacity up to 1,500 and a wider collection of banquet and conference spaces. It also describes smaller room options and different areas for larger functions. A headline maximum is not the capacity of every room or dinner layout.
Sales inquiries use sales@rdrcasino.ca or 403-755-1150. Identify the type of function, date, headcount and intended setup. A conference with presentation equipment, a reception and a seated dinner need different room plans.
Ask for a proposal covering setup access, room hire, catering, staffing, audiovisual requirements and the complete cost. Confirm the payment timetable and cancellation terms with the actual booking. An inquiry or a room shown on a floor plan does not hold the space.
The official meetings page links to catering and floor-plan information. Use the current room plan for your event rather than applying an overall property-area figure to a single hall.
Winner’s Edge and evaluating a resort offer
The resort promotes Winner’s Edge membership and links to the programme. Ask which activity qualifies, how the card is used and which current redemption conditions apply. This guide does not turn a promotional points headline into a cash-value promise.
Keep points, room credits and cash-out tickets distinct when organising the visit. A benefit may apply only to a named service, qualifying stay or particular transaction. Check those conditions before including it as a saving in the trip budget.
For a hotel package, compare what is actually included with the room and services you would otherwise book. Confirm dates, room type, meal arrangements and exclusions. A package title alone does not establish a restaurant booking, poker seat or reserved entertainment admission.
Choose the spending limit before considering a reward threshold. Additional play or an unnecessary room upgrade can cost more than the benefit being pursued. The useful offer is one that fits the outing already planned.
Planning an afternoon, dinner or overnight visit
Casino-floor entry is 18+, as the operator states. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Hotel registration, a meal reservation and casino entry have separate conditions. If children are part of a hotel or function booking, ask about the appropriate non-gaming entrance and route rather than treating a room reservation as gaming-floor permission.
A meal and a short casino session
Choose the dining outlet and intended meal time first, then fit gaming around the relevant service period. Allow time to settle the bill and reach a poker registration or table opening. Keep food and the return journey outside the amount available for play.
An overnight stay
Match arrival to the confirmed room time, decide which restaurant fits the day and leave space for any hotel amenities you want to use. The room’s checkout remains a fixed point even if gaming runs late. Agree on the next morning’s plan before the evening begins.
Access and the full cost
Describe a specific access need to the property: the route from parking, a room layout, suitable seating or the way into a function. Count room, meals, travel and all gaming activity in the same overall plan. Our budget calculator helps organise those costs, and the support page provides gambling-help information.
For other destinations, use the Alberta casino directory. The Edmonton and Calgary guides cover separate city trips rather than alternative rooms at this resort.
Red Deer Resort & Casino FAQs
The resort is at 3310 50 Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 3X9, separate from ACE Casino Red Deer on 67 Street. Call 403-342-5825 for the casino, 403-346-2091 for the hotel or 403-309-1660 for Casino Restaurant. Choose the relevant service and give the date and activity when asking about a game, meal, room or arrival arrangement. The operator’s pages conflict. The dedicated casino page lists slots Monday–Thursday 9:30am–3am and a continuous period from Friday 9am to Monday 3am. It lists separate VLT and live-table periods. The general FAQ instead gives 11pm or midnight closing. The dining page also gives a different VLT Lounge period. These were checked November 1, 2026; confirm the actual activity and arrival time with the casino. The casino page advertises eight poker tables and daily tournament starts at 2pm and 6:30pm. Its poker-hours block ends at 1am Sunday–Wednesday or 2am Thursday–Saturday, but another sentence says cash games run from 2pm until 10am. That conflict remains unresolved. Ask about the actual game, buy-in, registration, waiting list and finish before arranging a late visit. The dedicated casino page advertises 343 slots, sixteen VLTs and ten main-pit tables, with poker counted separately. These are equipment descriptions, not a live vacancy or staffing count. Featured slots do not reserve a machine. Chase the Flush remains on a game card beside a termination notice dated July 24–August 22, 2026, so it is not treated here as a confirmed current option. Casino Restaurant is listed 9am–11pm Monday–Thursday and Sunday, and 9am–2am Friday–Saturday. HIY’s breakfast/brunch periods vary by day, while dinner is Wednesday–Saturday 5pm–9pm. Garden Terrace and the VLT Lounge have their own listings. Ask about the available menu and last orders rather than applying casino hours or a late bar period to every kitchen. The accommodation page lists check-in at 4pm and check-out at 11am; early or late arrangements need confirmation. It advertises credit-card-only damage preauthorisation of $125–$500, with higher holds for suites. Confirm the exact amount for the room and dates, how the hold affects available credit and its release arrangements. Keep the hold separate from the room price and entertainment budget. The accommodation page advertises designated pet-friendly rooms for cats and dogs, with a surcharge per stay and a maximum of two pets per room. Confirm the room and current fee before booking. Free guest parking and accessible spaces are listed, along with on-site Tesla charging. Ask about the entrance and vehicle arrangement you need; complimentary parking does not make vehicle charging free. No hotel-amenity entitlement is established by casino entry. The amenities page lists the pool and hot tub daily 6am–10pm for hotel guests, with a twenty-four-hour guest fitness centre. Club Lounge is listed 6am–midnight and restricted to eligible Club Level guests. Confirm any temporary facility change or specific room inclusion before booking around that amenity. Use sales@rdrcasino.ca or 403-755-1150 and specify the date, attendance, room layout, catering and equipment needs. The events centre is advertised up to fifteen hundred attendees, but that headline is not every room’s seated-dinner capacity. Obtain the actual floor plan, permitted headcount, full quote and payment/cancellation terms. An inquiry does not hold a room or confirm availability. The operator states that casino-floor entry is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. A hotel room, dining reservation or function booking does not override gaming-floor entry rules. Ask about a suitable non-gaming entrance and route if children are part of a hotel or event visit, and describe any individual access requirement to the property.Where is Red Deer Resort & Casino and which number should I call?
