Deerfoot Inn & Casino combines a large gaming floor, dedicated poker room, hotel, restaurants, lounges and event facilities in southeast Calgary. Separate casino, hotel, poker and dining contacts help visitors plan the part of the property they intend to use.
This guide uses primary operator information checked November 1, 2026. It keeps slots and VLTs separate, avoids double-counting the high-limit room, and uses dedicated restaurant schedules where they differ from the website’s general footer.

Location and department contacts
The property publishes its address as 1000, 11500–35 Street SE, Calgary, AB T2Z 3W4. AGLC lists the same street location for the casino. Use the full address and the intended entrance when arranging transport to the hotel, casino or an event.
The casino number is 403-236-7542, while the hotel publishes 403-236-7529. Poker and dining also have dedicated contacts. Starting with the relevant team makes an inquiry about a game different from a room or restaurant request.
Share a specific meeting point with people arriving independently. A resort with hotel, conference and gaming facilities can have several practical destinations. An event confirmation should identify the room or outlet as well as the property.
For wider comparisons, use the Calgary casino guide. Check the actual route from your starting point and leave time for traffic or weather. A broad southeast Calgary description does not establish a fixed journey time for every visitor.
Slot, table and poker opening hours
The dedicated slot page opens at 9:30am daily, with later weekend closing. The live-table page starts at noon on weekdays and 11am at weekends. Poker has a separate 24-hour room schedule in the operator’s information.
| Service | Published schedule | Planning detail |
|---|---|---|
| Slots, Sun–Thu | 9:30am–3am. | Opening precedes the live pit. |
| Slots, Fri–Sat | 9:30am–5am. | The close belongs to the following morning. |
| Tables, Mon–Fri | Noon–3am. | Check the particular game and seats. |
| Tables, Sat–Sun | 11am–3am. | Weekend table opening is earlier. |
| Poker room | 24 hours. | Call the room for current games and access. |
| High-limit page | Mon–Fri noon–3am; Sat–Sun 11am–3am displayed. | Confirm the intended high-limit area directly. |
All times are local Alberta time. Friday’s slot opening period ends at 5am on Saturday. Specify the date when arranging a late pickup so the return plan matches the actual visit.
Service windows are different from reserved seats. Ask about the desired game if it determines the journey. A restaurant, performance or hotel arrival can operate on another schedule, so start with the activity rather than the longest closing time.
785 slots, 32 VLTs and the high-limit machine count
The slot page advertises 785 machines and 32 VLTs. It locates a VLT lounge beside the slot cashier and also describes a high-limit slot room with 53 machines. This guide keeps VLTs separate and does not add the high-limit figure again to the overall slot count.
A published floor inventory describes the venue’s scale, not the number of seats free at an exact moment. It also differs from the number of unique game titles. Several cabinets can carry the same theme, while a terminal can offer several selections.
If a particular title or denomination matters, ask about the exact name and version before travelling. Read the full stake on the machine before starting. Lines, credits and optional features can change the cost of the round beyond the credit value alone.
The slot mechanics guide introduces common controls. Floor staff can explain an unfamiliar feature or ticket process on the actual machine. A familiar cabinet photograph does not establish identical settings to a game elsewhere.
Live tables and the advertised game selection
The dedicated table page describes 32 live-action games and lists blackjack, Free Bet Blackjack, Double Down Madness, craps, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and baccarat variants. Use that as the advertised selection rather than a guarantee that every position is staffed together.
For a particular game, ask about the day, time, limits and available seats. A table’s operating window is separate from a reservation. Give the full name when calling, especially where several blackjack or baccarat versions are offered.
Check the rules and paytable before putting chips in play. Blackjack strategy depends on payout, dealer and player-option rules; our basic-strategy guide and dealer-rules page explain common differences.
Count side bets within the total cost of a round. Optional wagers have their own qualifications and payouts. Ask the dealer to explain an unfamiliar choice before the betting window closes, and choose a stake independently of the posted maximum.
Fortune Room and high-limit inquiries
The operator’s high-limit page describes the Fortune Room and high-limit slots and tables. Its named table selection includes blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and baccarat variants, with host and player-development inquiry routes.
Ask about the precise area and game before arranging a special visit. A host inquiry does not itself reserve a table or establish a limit. The high-limit page’s displayed schedule also should be checked against the particular service intended.
Higher stakes change the money at risk per decision. A private setting or premium-room description does not establish a better theoretical return or likely short-term win. Set the allowance before considering the room’s branding.
There is no need to use high-limit play to attend a show, have dinner or stay at the hotel. Keep those services separate in the plan, and let everyone in a group choose which activities suit their own preferences and budget.
Poker room, reservations and tournaments
The poker page publishes 403-723-4039 for room inquiries and reservations and links to PokerAtlas for the full schedule. It advertises daily tournament headings at 10:20am and 6:30pm, alongside dated promotion notices.
Confirm the actual event, buy-in, format and registration before travelling for a tournament. A recurring heading does not settle every day’s programme or any additional entry costs. The room’s current schedule is more useful than an older flyer.
For a cash game, ask what is running, the stakes and how the waiting list works. A 24-hour room schedule does not reserve a seat at a particular limit. The room contact also helps clarify access for an overnight arrival.
Private parties and business functions have their own booking arrangements. Wait for confirmation before treating a table or tournament request as secured. Keep the agreed game, arrival time and room contact available to the party organiser.
Poker prizes and progressive-game displays
The poker and casino pages carry progressive information, including changing or dynamically loaded figures. A displayed amount on an old page or a blank counter is not enough to establish the prize currently available at a table.
Read the actual game’s qualifying conditions and ask staff about an unclear rule. A poker bad-beat arrangement can depend on the game and the hands involved. A house-banked progressive wager has its own separate paytable.
A prize display is different from a forecast of the money a visitor will receive. The RTP guide explains long-run game mathematics, and the volatility guide explains variation in outcomes. Neither guarantees the result of an evening.
Track the whole session when moving between games or taking a break. A new table or game does not erase earlier spending. Choose the stake and stopping point before considering a jackpot or promotion.
Dining hours: use the dedicated outlet pages
The shared website footer gives simplified dining descriptions. The dedicated restaurant pages publish more detailed schedules and, in some cases, different closing times. The following table uses those dedicated pages so visitors can plan a meal around the actual outlet.
| Outlet | Published hours | Planning detail |
|---|---|---|
| Mohave Grill | Sun 7am–9pm; Mon–Thu 7am–2pm and 5pm–9pm; Fri 7am–2pm and 5pm–10pm; Sat 7am–10pm. | Weekday afternoon breaks are shown on the dedicated page. |
| Cactus Lounge | Mon–Thu 4pm–9pm; Fri–Sat 4pm–2am; Sunday closed. | The footer’s 4pm–late description is less specific. |
| Wild Horse Pub | Sun–Thu 9:30am–2am; Fri–Sat 9:30am–3am. | The shared footer gives later closes; confirm a late visit. |
Ask about kitchen last orders and menu periods when the distinction matters. An outlet’s closing time does not automatically mean every dish remains available until then. A reservation should name the restaurant as well as the date.
For dietary requirements, speak with staff about the current menu and preparation. A general restaurant description or dish photograph cannot settle an individual allergy question.
Mohave Grill for breakfast, dinner and family dining
Mohave Grill describes Southwestern-style dishes and a family-oriented setting. Its dedicated page links to breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and publishes 403-723-4043 for reservations.
Choose the meal and service period before arranging the party’s arrival. The weekday schedule has an afternoon break, while Sunday and Saturday have different published hours. The footer’s broad 7am-to-10pm line should not override those detailed periods.
The page lists prime rib buffet service on Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9pm and deluxe breakfast on Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Those meal windows are separate from the restaurant’s overall opening. Check the current notice and reservation rather than treating a buffet headline as an all-day menu. Ask about the full cost for the party before confirming.
For a mixed-age group, settle the dining venue and route first. Family dining does not establish access to gaming areas. Someone attending just for a meal should be able to finish and leave without joining a casino session.
Cactus Lounge and Wild Horse Pub
Cactus Lounge’s dedicated page lists weekday evening service, later Friday and Saturday hours and Sunday closure. It also advertises Friday and Saturday karaoke from 9pm until closing. Use the current programme for the actual date and ask about seating.
Wild Horse Pub describes sports viewing, food and selected weekend entertainment. Its dedicated schedule closes earlier than the shared footer: 2am Sunday through Thursday and 3am Friday and Saturday. Confirm the intended late meal or broadcast with the outlet.
A lounge reservation, performance and restaurant meal can follow different arrangements. Ask which part is reserved and whether the group can sit together. A broad entertainment description does not hold a table or guarantee a view of every screen.
Keep the return journey settled, especially when alcohol is involved. A person leaving after the performance or meal should have an option independent of the rest of the group’s gambling. A later casino opening window need not extend everyone’s evening.
Hotel rooms, suites and accommodation contact
The guest-room page advertises 188 rooms including 28 suites. Categories include traditional king and double-queen rooms, family suites and larger suite options. Use the hotel contact on 403-236-7529 for room availability and booking questions.
The traditional king description includes a pull-out sofa, while family suites have a dining area and small kitchen facilities. Features differ by category, so choose the actual bed arrangement and equipment needed rather than assuming every suite has the same layout.
The room page lists facilities such as Wi-Fi, a small fridge, coffee equipment and workspace. Confirm any essential feature against the room being reserved. A photograph of another category does not establish what is included in an available room.
Read the selected rate’s total price, cancellation terms and arrival instructions. A nearby room can simplify the end of an evening, but it should not remove the money or time limit chosen for gaming.
Waterpark, fitness facilities and pet-friendly rooms
The hotel page advertises a waterpark for hotel guests daily from 7am to midnight, with a pool, toddler area, two hot tubs and a two-storey waterslide. It also describes a 24-hour fitness centre and designated pet-friendly rooms.
Ask what is included in the selected room booking and whether any facility has a maintenance or service notice. Casino entry should not be treated as a pool pass or hotel-amenity booking. A family’s leisure plan can be separate from the gaming floor.
The hotel page advertises a $35 extra nightly charge for designated pet-friendly rooms, checked November 1, 2026. Confirm the current total, pet conditions and actual room category with the hotel before booking. The presence of designated pet-friendly rooms does not mean every suite accepts an animal.
For accessibility, explain practical needs such as bathroom layout, the route to dining or lift access. A broad accessible-room label does not answer every individual requirement. Match the request to an actual available room and confirm the arrangement before arrival.
Chrome Showroom and a performance visit
The property homepage identifies the Chrome Showroom for concerts, dance events, comedy and other entertainment. The dated event listing is the appropriate place to establish a performer, admission time and start.
Read the actual ticket and seating conditions before planning the visit. A hotel stay or dinner reservation does not automatically create show admission. Similarly, an event ticket does not reserve a restaurant table.
For a party, settle whether seats need to be together and ask about the configuration for that performance. A room’s general capacity does not establish the layout for every event. Accessibility requests should name the actual show and the assistance needed.
Allow time for the meal, entrance and return journey. If an event changes, adjust the itinerary without increasing gambling spending to fill the gap. The performance can be the whole outing, with gaming left as an independent choice.
Meetings, conferences and catering
The meetings page advertises more than 17,000 square feet of convention facilities and an overall range of groups from five to 500. It also gives examples of catering arrangements and links to room plans and packages.
Use the actual room layout for an event inquiry rather than the largest headline figure. Staging, dining tables, screens and a dance floor affect how the space works. Start with the programme, attendance, duration and preferred seating.
The page publishes 403-723-4027 for meeting inquiries. Ask about equipment, catering, setup access and the assistance needed during the event. A service mentioned on a general page is not automatically part of every quotation.
Wait for written confirmation of the room, costs and cancellation conditions before issuing final invitations. Hotel-room blocks and restaurant arrangements should also be settled explicitly. Keep the agreed room, layout and day-of-event contact available to the organiser.
Combining a room, meal, poker or show
A meal before live tables: choose the restaurant period first and compare it with the day’s pit opening. A morning slot visit and a weekday noon table arrival are different plans. If the desired game is unavailable, keep a meal or earlier return as a useful alternative.
An overnight poker visit: call the room about the game and waiting list, then settle accommodation with the hotel separately. A room reservation does not reserve a poker seat, and a room nearby should not extend the session beyond the planned limit.
A show and dinner: confirm admission, restaurant seating and the sequence of the evening. Share those actual times with the group instead of using the casino’s final closing hour as the whole itinerary.
Keep everyone free to participate in only the activities they want. Independent transport and a clear meeting point make it easier for guests to leave at different times without waiting on another person’s gaming results.
Arrival, identification and a practical spending limit
Ask the property about the entrance, parking and route for the specific activity, especially for a larger vehicle or accessibility requirement. A resort address can contain several destinations, so share the room or outlet name with people arriving independently.
Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires an age check where someone appears under 25. Ask about any uncertain entry requirement before a special trip. A hotel or family dining arrangement does not override gaming-floor conditions.
Separate the visit’s room, food, entertainment and transport costs from the money available for gambling. The budget calculator illustrates pace and total stakes but cannot predict a session result or enforce a limit on the casino floor.
For tickets or chips, follow the venue’s redemption instructions and keep the relevant item until payment or any question is settled. An online casino withdrawal follows a different process. Ask staff before an unfamiliar transaction.
Rewards, host inquiries and support
The casino links to Winner’s Edge, while the hotel describes a separate accommodation loyalty programme. Check the current terms for the programme and service intended. A hotel benefit and a casino reward should not be assumed to have identical conditions.
Ask a host about a specific service or arrangement, with clear dates and needs. An inquiry does not create an entitlement to a room, meal or reserved game. Rewards should remain secondary to the affordable amount and stopping time chosen before arrival.
If gambling becomes difficult to control, stop or leave and ask about assistance. Our Alberta gambling-help page brings together support and self-exclusion information. A later close, another tournament or a nearby hotel room should not replace the stopping point already chosen.
Compare other Alberta venues
Use the Alberta venue directory for other physical destinations, alongside the Calgary guide linked above. Compare the actual address, gaming format, dining and accommodation needed. A hotel room, show ticket or restaurant reservation at Deerfoot does not create arrangements at another property.

Mohave Grill and Cactus Lounge reservations use 403-723-4043; meeting inquiries use 403-723-4027. Give the intended activity, date and outlet rather than treating every request as a general casino reservation. The dedicated slot page advertises 785 slots and 32 VLTs separately, and describes a 53-machine high-limit slot room. The guide does not add the high-limit count again to the overall slot figure or combine VLTs into a slot-only total. Published inventory is not a live seat count or the number of unique game titles. Confirm a specific game directly. Slots are listed Sunday–Thursday 9:30am–3am and Friday–Saturday 9:30am–5am the following morning. Live tables are listed Monday–Friday noon–3am and Saturday–Sunday 11am–3am. The property footer advertises 24-hour poker. These are separate service schedules, checked November 1, 2026. Ask about the desired game, access, staffing and any holiday changes before a time-sensitive trip. Call 403-723-4039 or use the poker page’s linked PokerAtlas schedule. The dedicated page advertises daily tournament headings at 10:20am and 6:30pm and describes reservation inquiries. Confirm the actual event, registration, format and full entry cost. A recurring heading does not establish every day’s programme, and 24-hour opening does not guarantee a seat in the desired cash game. The dedicated outlet pages give more detailed hours than the shared footer. Mohave Grill has weekday afternoon breaks; Cactus Lounge lists Sunday closure and a 2am Friday/Saturday close. Wild Horse Pub lists 2am Sunday–Thursday and 3am Friday–Saturday, one hour earlier than its footer listing. The guide identifies that difference. Confirm the intended meal, kitchen last orders and late arrival directly. The rooms page lists 188 guest rooms including 28 suites, with king, double-queen and family-suite categories. The hotel advertises a waterpark for hotel guests daily 7am–midnight and a 24-hour fitness centre. Designated pet-friendly rooms are advertised with a $35 extra nightly charge, checked November 1, 2026. Confirm the actual room, current charge and amenities included before booking. No. The meetings page advertises over 17,000 square feet of convention facilities and an overall group range of five to 500. The actual room, seating, catering and staging determine a particular event’s arrangement. Call 403-723-4027 for an inquiry. Chrome Showroom tickets, hotel rooms and restaurant reservations are separate; a booking for one does not automatically include the others. Casino gaming is restricted to adults aged 18 and over. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. A hotel stay, family meal or private function does not grant younger guests gaming-floor access. Ask the property about permitted entrances and routes for the actual non-gaming activity when organising a mixed-age party.Where is Deerfoot Inn & Casino and which department should I call?
