Compare Red Deer’s two casino destinations: ACE Casino Red Deer, formerly Cash Casino, and Red Deer Resort & Casino. Find published slot figures, opening hours, addresses, phone numbers, dining information and the details worth confirming before a visit.
This city guide keeps the two properties separate and uses their current operator information checked on November 1, 2026. The Cash Casino website now redirects to ACE Red Deer. Where an operator’s own pages give conflicting hours, that uncertainty is visible below; a directory entry is not a live guarantee of a particular game, seat or service.
Compare the two Red Deer casinos
Slot and VLT figures are shown separately rather than combined into an inflated slot count. The hours below refer to the stated slot service. Live tables, poker and dining use their own schedules. Times are local Alberta time, with after-midnight closing on the following calendar day.

Casino-page VLT hours: Sun–Thu 9:30am–3am; Fri–Sat 10am–4am. The general FAQ gives shorter casino closing times and the dining page gives a different VLT Lounge period. The gaming page also carries a 2026 notice ending Chase the Flush; its remaining game tile is not treated as confirmation of availability.
Two Red Deer venues, two separate visits
Start with the address rather than the name alone. ACE Casino Red Deer is at 6350 67 Street. Red Deer Resort & Casino is at 3310 50 Avenue. They are different destinations with separate phone numbers, gaming schedules and dining arrangements. A map result using the older Cash Casino name should be checked against the 67 Street address before you arrange a pickup or ask about a facility.
The Cash Casino website redirected to the ACE Casino Red Deer website during this review. The current operator page describes a new name, while AGLC’s finder still uses Cash Casino Red Deer. This guide therefore shows both names for identification and keeps the existing Cash Casino Red Deer venue-guide link. A familiar name in an older directory is not a third local casino.
The resort is the option in this comparison that advertises hotel accommodation on its own property. Its website separates hotel inquiries from casino inquiries, so choose the number that matches your question. A room reservation, restaurant booking and poker inquiry are three different arrangements. The Red Deer Resort & Casino guide is the internal route to that property’s details.
For either venue, compare the full address with your starting point and other plans. Do not infer a journey time from a website describing a property as minutes from downtown. Traffic, your actual departure point, weather and the entrance you need all affect the trip. Save the address and public phone number before you leave, particularly if someone else is arranging the return journey.
Read the gaming schedules correctly
The most useful hours are those for the activity you intend to use. Slot-floor hours are not automatically live-table hours, and a poker-room statement can describe a different service again. In this comparison, the main gaming schedule and any separate table or poker information are shown individually. Holiday arrangements and the availability of a particular game still need confirmation with the property.
For ACE, the main homepage supplies the slot-floor and table schedules shown in the card. Its contact page gives a different table schedule, and a lower location panel carries a different general-hours listing. The card flags those differences. This is a reason to telephone before a visit built around a specific live game, rather than choosing whichever published closing time happens to be latest.
At Red Deer Resort, the operator separates slots and VLTs. Its weekend slot statement runs from Friday morning through the early hours of Monday. That wording does not apply to all tables, the VLT salon, restaurants or the poker room. Use the row for the relevant service, and remember that a closing time after midnight belongs to the following calendar day.
The resort’s general FAQ also gives shorter casino closing times: 11pm Monday–Thursday and Sunday, and midnight Friday–Saturday. Its dining-page VLT Lounge period differs from the dedicated gaming schedule. Call with the activity, date and arrival time rather than treating one broad casino headline as a settled closing time.
The resort’s poker section contains conflicting information: it gives a room-hours schedule and a later cash-game finishing time. We have not merged those into an invented continuous schedule. If poker is the reason for your trip, call the casino, identify the day and game you want, and ask about room opening, live games, a waiting list and any tournament registration separately.
A simple planning example is an early daytime visit. The published slot opening time does not establish that live tables are already operating. Likewise, a late slot session does not establish that food service is still available. Decide what matters to the outing before looking at the building’s broadest opening-hours headline.
Comparing slots, VLTs and live games
The machine figures are operator-published descriptions, not an on-site count of available cabinets. ACE advertises 349 slots and separately lists 40 VLTs; Red Deer Resort describes 343 slots and 16 VLTs. The categories are kept separate so that a VLT salon is not silently added to a slot-only number. Neither inventory tells you how many different titles are running.
Several cabinets can offer the same game, while a multi-game terminal can provide a choice of titles. A property may also move machines or change its floor. If you want one particular title, denomination or feature, ask about that specific game before making a special journey. The name of a progressive network alone does not establish that every version or stake option is available.
Read the complete spin cost at the machine. A penny denomination is the value of a credit, not necessarily the total stake after lines, credits or feature settings are included. Check the displayed amount after changing a setting. Our guide to how slots work explains the difference between credit value and total stake, while the game-types directory compares common formats.
For live tables, identify the game and its rules rather than relying on a floor-wide table count. A dealer-banked poker game, such as Ultimate Texas Hold’em, is different from a poker room where players compete with one another. Optional side bets also have their own rules and payouts. Ask staff to explain an unfamiliar wager before you place it; do not assume a familiar table name means every rule is identical.
Red Deer Resort’s gaming page still displays a Chase the Flush tile alongside a notice about ending that offering during July–August 2026. We do not treat the tile as confirmation that the game remains available. This is another example of why a current game inquiry is more useful than treating every item on a long webpage as a guaranteed live offering.
A larger floor does not establish a higher return
Machine counts help describe the venue, but they are not win-rate rankings. A larger floor can offer more cabinets without improving the result on the game you select. This guide does not assign either Red Deer venue an invented average return or a predicted payout for a visit. Use the machine’s own rules and displayed game information for the particular version being offered.
Return to player, or RTP, is a long-run mathematical measure. Volatility concerns the pattern and variation of outcomes. A game can produce a run of small wins, a long losing spell or an occasional larger prize without a short session resembling its long-run figure. Neither measure gives a reliable forecast of an evening’s result.
The total amount staked also differs from the amount of cash originally brought. As an illustration, 60 spins at 50 cents create $30 in total stakes; 120 spins at 25 cents also create $30. That arithmetic says nothing about either sequence’s winnings, losses or elapsed time. It simply shows why counting the starting cash alone can give an incomplete picture of play.
Use the RTP calculator for clearly labelled mathematical examples, not as evidence of either property’s actual return. If you enter a hypothetical percentage, the result remains hypothetical. A venue’s advertised jackpot win or a photograph of a winner is not a substitute for the rules of the machine in front of you.
Dining, hotel stays and other plans
ACE’s homepage identifies Parlay Sports Lounge and Embers Lounge. Check the current menu, kitchen service and any reservation directly with the venue. The casino’s closing time is not a restaurant last-order time. If a meal is the main reason for going, settle the dining arrangements before adding an optional visit to the gaming floor.
At the resort, the operator distinguishes the casino restaurant from hotel dining and lounges. Its casino restaurant page publishes a shorter kitchen schedule than the weekend slot floor. Check the restaurant you mean rather than asking only whether food is available somewhere in the building. A breakfast service, hotel lounge and late-night casino menu can have different entrances, menus and hours.
Published dining hours at the resort
The operator’s separate dining page provides the following service times. They are useful for choosing a meal, and should not be confused with the opening schedule of the games or VLT machines.
- Garden Terrace Lounge: Monday to Saturday, 11am to midnight; Sunday, 2pm to 10pm.
- VLT Lounge service: daily, 10am to midnight. This published lounge period differs from the casino page’s VLT schedule; confirm the activity and intended arrival time.
- HIY Steaks breakfast: weekdays, 7am to 11am; Saturday, 7am to noon; Sunday, 7am to 2pm.
- HIY Steaks dinner: Wednesday through Saturday, 5pm to 9pm.
- Casino Restaurant: Sunday through Thursday, 9am to 11pm; Friday and Saturday, 9am to 2am.
Check a specific restaurant before a special trip, including the last time the kitchen accepts orders. A lounge opening time can cover drinks or a limited menu rather than every item served during the day. If you need a particular meal, explain that when asking about a reservation.
For a group, settle the arrival time, table size and any dietary requirements directly with the restaurant. A casino’s public gaming number can route a question, but a booking is only confirmed by the team handling the meal. Keep the booking details available and allow time to get from the correct entrance to the restaurant.
For an overnight stay, compare the room type, occupancy, cancellation terms and any charges shown at booking. Ask which amenities your reservation includes and whether access arrangements meet your needs. Do not assume that an advertised pool, lounge or event facility is available to every visitor on the same terms. Use the hotel team for room questions and the casino team for gaming questions.
A show, meeting or private event should have its own confirmation. Check the actual date, door time and seating arrangements, and allow enough time to travel between activities. Do not make the cost of a meal or hotel dependent on a gambling result. The non-gaming part of the visit can stand on its own.
Parking, transport and accessibility
Check the parking area intended for your visit, especially if you plan to stay late or attend an event. Ask about restrictions, validation and overnight arrangements where relevant. A general statement that a property has parking does not establish that every nearby stall is available, free or suitable for your vehicle. Save a clear pickup point if another person will collect you.
Work out the return journey before arriving. If using transit, check the service and last departure for your actual date and route. If arranging a taxi or lift, use the correct casino name and full street address. Keep the fare and money needed for the journey home outside the gambling amount so that leaving does not depend on what happens on the floor.
For accessibility, ask about the entire route from arrival to the facility you want. Useful questions include the location of accessible parking, step-free entrances, elevators, washrooms, seating and the distance between services. A hotel room or restaurant reservation does not automatically answer the access questions for a gaming area or event space.
Noise, lighting, breaks and the distance between facilities can matter as much as a doorway. Explain the arrangement you need when contacting the property. This guide lists published information and practical questions; it is not an assessment of an individual visitor’s accessibility requirements or an inspection of every route through either building.
Entry, a spending limit and the cashier
Casino gaming in Alberta is for adults aged 18 and over. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Check any property-specific requirements before travelling. If your wider outing includes younger people, ask which restaurant, hotel or event areas they may use and which route is permitted. Permission to use a non-gaming facility is not permission to enter the gaming floor.
Set both a money limit and a leaving time before you enter. Keep bills, food, accommodation and transport outside the gaming allowance. Stop when you reach either limit, rather than treating another cash withdrawal as part of the original plan. Our session budget calculator illustrates total stakes and pace, but it cannot enforce a limit at either venue.
Before using an ATM or another cash service, read the transaction information and any fee displayed. Ask the property about the specific service you need instead of assuming that every card or payment method is accepted. Keep a receipt if there is a problem and raise the question while the relevant transaction details are available.
Follow a machine’s cash-out instructions carefully. Check that you have taken the ticket and read its redemption conditions, including where it can be used and when it expires. Do not assume a ticket from one Red Deer property is accepted at the other. Ask floor staff or the issuing cashier about a ticket or machine issue rather than handing it to an unfamiliar visitor.
If gambling begins to feel difficult to control, leave the floor or choose a different activity. The Alberta gambling-help page links to support resources and self-exclusion information. You do not have to continue because a venue is still open or because another member of your group wants to stay.
Use the Alberta casino directory for the provincial list, or the city guides for Calgary, Edmonton and Lethbridge. Compare the actual addresses and services rather than assuming that venues in a regional guide are close together.
Red Deer casino FAQs
The former Cash Casino website redirects to ACE Casino Red Deer at 6350 67 Street, AB T4P 3L7. AGLC’s finder retains the Cash name for that address. They are treated here as one destination, separate from Red Deer Resort & Casino at 3310 50 Avenue, AB T4N 3X9. Check the full address when arranging a ride or using an older listing. ACE advertises 349 slots and separately lists forty VLTs. Red Deer Resort advertises 343 slots and sixteen VLTs. These are operator-published equipment figures, not a current count of vacant machines or distinct game titles. The categories are kept separate. Neither the larger slot count nor a progressive-jackpot advertisement establishes better odds or a predicted result for a visit. No. ACE’s main listing is Sunday–Thursday 9am–3am and Friday–Saturday 9am–4am. The resort’s dedicated casino page lists Monday–Thursday 9:30am–3am and continuous slots from Friday 9am to Monday 3am. After-midnight closing is on the following calendar day. The resort’s general FAQ gives shorter closing times, so confirm a late arrival and the actual service. These listings were checked November 1, 2026. ACE’s homepage lists Sunday–Thursday 2pm–1am and Friday–Saturday 2pm–3am, while its contact page lists 3pm–midnight and 3pm–2am respectively. The resort’s casino page lists Sunday–Wednesday 2pm–1am and Thursday–Saturday 2pm–2am. Do not silently choose the latest closing time. Call the appropriate casino about the actual game, staffing and arrival when the published information conflicts. ACE’s contact page says poker starts at 3pm until the game breaks. The resort advertises eight tables and daily tournaments at 2pm and 6:30pm, but its poker-hours block conflicts with a separate cash-game finishing statement. Ask about the actual game, buy-in, waiting list, registration and finish. Advertised capacity does not guarantee a vacant seat or continuous play. ACE advertises Parlay Sports Lounge and Embers Lounge; ask about the menu and kitchen service for the date. The resort has Casino Restaurant, HIY Steaks and separate lounges. HIY dinner is listed Wednesday–Saturday 5pm–9pm, while other outlets follow different periods. A casino closing time is not a restaurant’s last-order time. Confirm the outlet, party size and meal reservation separately. Red Deer Resort & Casino advertises hotel rooms and suites on its 50 Avenue property. Use 403-346-2091 for hotel inquiries and 403-342-5825 for the casino. Compare the actual room category, occupancy, full cost, deposit and cancellation terms. A hotel reservation does not automatically include every lounge, a restaurant booking, poker seating or event admission. ACE is a separate 67 Street destination. Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Ask either property about any additional entry conditions. If younger people are part of a meal, hotel or function visit, confirm the specific non-gaming areas and permitted route. A dining or hotel reservation does not authorise entry to the gaming floor. Ask about the entrance, parking restrictions and any overnight arrangement needed for the actual visit. Save a clear pickup point and keep the return fare separate from gaming money. Follow each machine’s cash-out instructions and confirm ticket redemption conditions with the issuing property. Do not assume a ticket from one Red Deer casino can be used at the other, or that a venue’s parking description covers every nearby stall. Are Cash Casino and ACE Casino Red Deer separate destinations?
