Evergreen Park Casino

Editor: Updated

Evergreen Park Casino is the Grande Prairie-area venue listed by AGLC, with gaming and dining promoted to visitors as Wild Horse Casino & Lounge. The casino sits within Evergreen Park’s wider events, recreation and horse-racing grounds, alongside the Pines Family Restaurant and other park facilities.

This is a slot, VLT and racing-oriented visit. The operator advertises 99 slots and VLTs as a combined figure; it should not be read as 99 slots plus another 99 VLTs. Live racing, on-screen races, entertainment and camping also have different schedules, so choose the part of the park you want before planning the trip.

Information checked November 1, 2026. The name Evergreen Park Casino identifies the directory entry; Wild Horse Casino & Lounge is the visitor-facing casino brand at the park.

Evergreen Park and Wild Horse: understanding the names

A search for this venue can show Evergreen Park Casino, Wild Horse Casino & Lounge and the larger Evergreen Park complex. They describe related parts of the same destination, rather than three different casinos to visit. AGLC’s finder uses the Evergreen Park name; the park’s own casino information directs visitors to Wild Horse.

The distinction matters when meeting someone or arranging a booking. Evergreen Park contains several event spaces and outdoor facilities. Giving a driver only the park name may get you to the grounds without identifying the right entrance or building. Specify Wild Horse or the Pines restaurant when that is the destination.

The operator describes the park as a charitable non-profit under the Grande Prairie Regional Agricultural & Exhibition Society. The broader site includes agricultural and community activities as well as gaming. A ticket for an exhibition, a race event or a function is not automatically admission to every other activity on the grounds.

The park’s contact page separates its physical location from its mailing address. Use the Township Road location for navigation. A postal box is for correspondence and will not identify the casino entrance for a driver. If your navigation result selects a different facility on the grounds, compare it with the official map before starting the last part of the journey. Send the same map point to anyone joining you, rather than having several people search different names independently.

The operator’s contact page gives the location postal code as T8W 5A7; AGLC’s directory lists T8X 4A3. For directions, use the physical Township Road location and the operator’s map rather than relying only on a postal-code search. For a casino visit, start with the quick facts above. For a wider park visit, use the current facility map and the details attached to the event you are attending. Save the relevant confirmation and contact number rather than relying on an old park listing to describe every service.

Opening hours and choosing the right arrival time

Operator-published service schedules checked November 1, 2026
Service Published period Planning detail
Gaming Daily 10am–1am Closing is the following calendar day.
Pines Family Restaurant Daily 9am–9pm Shared dining menu plus a children’s menu.
Wild Horse Lounge Daily 9am–midnight Lounge hours do not establish kitchen last orders.
Open mic Sunday 7:30pm Recurring park listing; confirm the actual session.
Slot tournament Thursday 7pm; registration 5pm Confirm current eligibility, capacity and rules.

The published schedules allow breakfast before gaming starts, while the restaurant, lounge and gaming floor finish at different times. Decide whether you want a meal, a short session, a music evening or racing coverage, then check that activity’s hours. The casino’s closing time is not a promise of full food service until the same moment.

If you are arriving late, ask what menu is still available and when last orders are taken. For a morning visit, confirm whether you should go to the restaurant or lounge for breakfast. A service listed from 9am does not mean the gaming machines start at that time.

For transport, write down the actual departure date as well as the hour. Saturday’s advertised gaming period ends at 1am Sunday. Use that next calendar date when arranging a pickup. Agree on a meeting point and pickup time before the evening starts so that a driver is not left trying to locate the right park building after dark.

Match the visit to the schedule

  • Breakfast and a daytime stop: plan the meal first and allow for the later gaming start.
  • Dinner and music: check both the kitchen arrangements and the performer’s actual time.
  • Racing: distinguish an on-site race date from coverage of another track.
  • A late gaming session: settle food and the return journey before beginning play.

Holiday changes or a private function may affect the service you need. A useful call names the activity and date, rather than asking only whether Evergreen Park is open.

Slots and VLTs: what the machine count tells you

The operator’s combined figure describes the advertised gaming selection, not the number of vacant machines when you arrive. AGLC categorises the venue under slot machines and VLTs. We have not added a live-table or dedicated poker-room offering to this guide without a verified operator listing for one.

Before selecting a game, read its cash wager, instructions and paytable. A machine’s credit denomination is not always the complete cost of a round. Several credits or an optional feature can change the total stake even when the smallest denomination remains on the screen.

A helpful first check is to find the wager controls, game-help screen and cash-out process. Ask an attendant to explain any control you do not understand. It is easier to establish how a feature works before selecting it than to work out the cost after money has been committed.

If a machine has a progressive or another displayed prize, read the qualification attached to that game. Do not assume the largest figure applies to every wager. We do not publish a current jackpot amount or venue-wide win rate here, because neither is established by the machine-count description.

Keep remaining credits and any cash-out ticket inside the same spending calculation. Moving to another machine does not start a fresh budget. Set a finish time as well as an amount, and leave money for food and travel outside the gaming allocation.

For background, our slot mechanics guide explains the controls and random outcomes; the slot rules guide covers the paytable and feature instructions. RTP and volatility describe different aspects of game behaviour; neither provides a forecast for a short visit.

Off-track racing screens and pari-mutuel betting

Wild Horse advertises on-screen racing and off-track pari-mutuel betting. The park describes race programmes and self-service kiosks as part of that setup. Check the track and meeting you want before travelling specifically to watch a race; general racing coverage does not guarantee every meeting or broadcast.

For a first visit, ask staff how to locate the current race information and place the intended wager. Be clear about the track, race number, selection and wager type. Read the ticket immediately and raise any discrepancy while it can still be addressed under the venue’s procedure.

The cost of a ticket depends on the wager structure, not just the amount printed beside a single selection. Ask for the total before committing money, especially when including several horses or combinations. A complicated ticket is not automatically more suitable than a wager whose cost and result you can follow.

Coverage, closing time and collection

Ask whether the race is shown live, what local time it starts and whether wagering is available for that meeting. If the final race is close to closing, ask how collection or any unredeemed ticket is handled. Keep the ticket secure and read the conditions that apply to it.

Racing and machine play should share the same overall entertainment budget. Waiting between races is an opportunity for a meal or break, rather than a reason to add another gambling session. Decide in advance whether the outing is mainly for watching racing or for wagering, so that the pace stays consistent with your plan.

Live racing at the park is a separate calendar

Evergreen Park also promotes horse racing on its own grounds. That is different from watching races from other tracks on the casino screens. Use the park’s current race calendar for an on-site meeting, and check the date and year before treating a replay or an older season’s listing as an upcoming event.

A complete race-day plan should include arrival time, the correct viewing area, admission arrangements and the expected finish. If a special event is attached to a race date, check whether it needs a separate ticket or registration. A casino visit does not settle those arrangements.

For a group with mixed interests, the live racing, restaurant and casino can be different parts of the day. Agree on a meeting point and do not assume every guest will be eligible for or interested in the gaming area. The park’s own Wild Horse information specifies an 18-plus gaming entry requirement. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Family dining at Pines does not grant access to the adult gaming area.

Use the Evergreen Park website to reach the latest calendar and race information. This guide does not reuse an old racing-club membership offer or season schedule as a current booking.

Pines Family Restaurant and the Wild Horse Lounge

The Pines is the family-restaurant option at Evergreen Park, while Wild Horse provides lounge dining. The park describes a shared menu selection with a separate children’s menu at Pines. Choose the dining area that suits the people attending, rather than treating the gaming floor as the route for every meal.

The advertised restaurant period runs from morning into the evening. The lounge website publishes a later lounge closing, but that should not be read as a guarantee that every food item remains available throughout. Ask about kitchen times and last orders if you are planning a late meal.

Breakfast, lunch and changing specials

The operator promotes breakfast and weekly food features. Those listings can differ between parts of the website, so we do not treat a displayed special price as a permanent menu commitment. Check the current menu and the day’s availability before using a special as the reason to travel.

For breakfast, ask which dining area is serving and whether the particular feature has a time cutoff. For lunch or dinner, confirm seating for a larger group and raise dietary requirements when making the inquiry. A menu heading alone cannot establish how an individual dish can be adapted.

The dedicated restaurant and lounge phone, 780-532-3265, is more useful for a meal inquiry than a general question about the whole park. Give staff the intended date, approximate arrival and party size. Ask whether the meal needs a reservation or can be handled as a walk-in.

If you are attending a performance, an exhibition or a race meeting, allow a meal interval that works around the confirmed activity. Avoid arranging a meal to finish exactly when an event starts; a short buffer makes the outing more practical for everyone.

Music, open mic and casino events

The park advertises free live music on Fridays and Saturdays, a Sunday open mic at 7:30pm and a Thursday slot tournament with a 7pm start and registration from 5pm. These are published recurring listings, so confirm the upcoming session before making a special journey.

For a music evening, ask about the performer, start time, seating and any change caused by a private event. A general statement that entertainment is free does not reserve a table or guarantee that your group can sit together. If a meal is involved, check the service arrangements at the same time.

For the tournament, ask about eligibility, registration capacity, check-in time and the current rules. A listed registration opening is not a guarantee of a place later in the evening. Read the conditions for the actual session and do not assume that an older poster establishes the current prizes or entry procedure.

Someone attending open mic can ask whether advance signup is required, what equipment is provided and how performance order is arranged. Someone coming only to watch needs a different set of details: seating, timing and the route to the lounge. Naming your purpose makes the inquiry much easier to answer.

The park’s Wild Horse page is the starting point for the recurring programme and current event information.

Getting around the grounds and parking

Evergreen Park publishes a park-wide capacity of more than two thousand parking spaces, including paved and gravel areas. That is a description of the broader event grounds, not a count of dedicated spaces immediately beside the casino entrance. Find the appropriate building and lot before leaving your vehicle.

The parking page identifies a paved, lit Lot A at the TARA Energy Services Centre and several other lots around the grounds. Event layouts can change how those areas are used. Follow the current signs and any instructions associated with the event, rather than assuming a familiar lot is always open for the same purpose.

If you require an accessible route, ask which entrance and parking area serve the casino or restaurant. Useful details include the walking surface, distance, steps and path to the room you intend to use. The ability to park somewhere on the grounds does not answer every access question.

For RVs, trailers or an organised group vehicle, contact the park about the appropriate approach and permitted parking. Overnight camping is a different arrangement from parking while attending the casino. Do not infer permission to stay overnight from the size of the grounds.

Save the official parking information and use the current facility map when planning several activities on the same visit.

Neil’s RV Campground: seasonal closure matters

The official campground page says Neil’s RV Campground is closed for the season and scheduled to reopen in May 2027. Do not plan a current overnight casino visit on the assumption that a campsite is operating simply because camping remains listed among the park’s facilities.

For the next season, the park advertises 30-amp electrical service and water hookups, washrooms and showers included with the site fee, a dumping station and laundry for a small fee. Confirm the particular site, services, opening date and complete charge when booking. A facility list does not establish availability for every vehicle or arrival date.

The campground’s published contact is 780-933-1464, and its page links to reservations. Ask about vehicle length, arrival procedure, cancellation terms and whether any park event affects site availability. Keep a written reservation that identifies the dates and site type.

If you need accommodation while the campground is closed, arrange it separately with an operating provider. A restaurant table, casino visit or park-event ticket does not include a room. Check transport and check-in deadlines before leaving that part of the itinerary unresolved.

The current campground page should take precedence over an old summer listing or a general description of the park as a year-round destination.

Groups, functions and choosing the right contact

Evergreen Park’s wider venue offering includes meeting and event spaces. A group planning a banquet, exhibition or formal function should contact the park office rather than assuming the casino lounge can accommodate the same arrangement. Give the date, attendance, room setup and food requirements at the start.

Ask for a proposal that identifies the actual venue, access time, equipment, catering, full charge and cancellation terms. The park contains multiple spaces, so a confirmation should name the building and room. Give guests that information with their arrival instructions.

A smaller social meal can begin with the restaurant team. A casino or racing question belongs with the gaming contact. Keeping those inquiries separate reduces the chance that a reservation for one activity is mistaken for a booking for everything in the evening.

If plans include both a function and gaming, make the gaming optional and give everyone a clear meeting or departure time. Guests can enjoy the meal or main event without needing to add a gambling session.

Budget, travel and other Alberta venue guides

Separate fuel, food, tickets and accommodation from any gaming money. Set a spending limit and a finish time before arriving, then include all gambling activities within the same limit. Switching between machines and racing does not erase earlier spending.

Our budget calculator helps organise the amounts. If gambling becomes difficult to control, the support page provides a way to find help without returning to the venue.

Use the Alberta casino directory for the wider region. Great Northern Casino is a separate Grande Prairie property; its address, games and opening schedule should not be applied to Evergreen Park.

Evergreen Park Casino FAQs

Are Evergreen Park Casino and Wild Horse the same venue?

Wild Horse Casino & Lounge is the visitor-facing casino name at Evergreen Park; AGLC’s venue finder uses Evergreen Park Casino. The physical location is 55051 Township Road 710 near Grande Prairie. The park contains several facilities, so identify Wild Horse or Pines when arranging a meeting. Great Northern Casino is a separate Grande Prairie property.

Does Wild Horse have 99 slots and another 99 VLTs?

No. Both the park and Wild Horse websites advertise 99 slots and VLTs as a combined figure. The count is not 99 of each, does not show how many seats are vacant and does not establish a venue-wide payout rate. AGLC lists slot machines and VLTs; this guide does not infer a live-table pit or dedicated poker room.

What are the gaming, restaurant and lounge hours?

The published gaming period is daily 10am–1am. Pines Family Restaurant is listed daily 9am–9pm, while the Wild Horse website lists lounge hours daily 9am–midnight. These were checked November 1, 2026. Kitchen last orders may differ. A Saturday evening gaming visit ends by the advertised 1am Sunday close; use the next calendar date for transport.

Which number should I call for the casino, dinner or park bookings?

Wild Horse’s contact page lists 780-357-2855 for casino and racetrack inquiries and 780-532-3265 for the restaurant and lounge. The park office is 780-532-3279. Give the intended date and activity. A restaurant table, a park event booking and a racing inquiry are separate arrangements; a general park contact does not establish availability for all three.

Are races held on site every day?

Do not assume so. Evergreen Park’s on-site races follow their own calendar. Wild Horse separately advertises off-track pari-mutuel betting, race programmes and self-service kiosks, with screens showing races from other tracks. Check the actual track, date, local start time and wagering availability. A replay or an old season’s calendar is not a current live race meeting.

What entertainment and age rules are advertised?

The park lists free Friday and Saturday live music, Sunday open mic at 7:30pm, and a Thursday slot tournament at 7pm with registration from 5pm. Confirm the particular session, seating and rules. Gaming entry is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo ID; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. Pines family dining does not override gaming-area restrictions.

Can I camp at Evergreen Park now?

As checked November 1, 2026, Neil’s RV Campground is closed for the season, with a planned May 2027 reopening. Its published contact is 780-933-1464. Advertised facilities include 30-amp service, water hookups, washrooms, showers, a dump station and laundry. Confirm the actual opening date, suitable site, complete charge and arrival procedure before arranging a future stay.

Does the parking count apply only to casino spaces?

No. The park advertises over 2,000 spaces across the wider grounds, including paved and gravel lots. Lot A at the TARA Energy Services Centre is described as paved and lit. That does not establish a space beside the casino entrance, overnight permission or an accessible route for every visitor. Confirm the appropriate entrance, walking surface and event restrictions with the park.
