Alberta Slots Guide

Century Mile

Editor: Updated

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is beside Edmonton International Airport, with a one-mile racetrack, slots, VLTs, Replay Arena electronic games and several dining options. The Derby serves the casino area, while the Finish Line Restaurant is designed around live race-day viewing.

This guide brings together operator information checked November 1, 2026. It separates casino hours from racing and meal service, identifies different published machine descriptions, and explains the practical arrangements for a casino visit, race evening or group event.

Airport-area location and the right Century venue

Century Mile publishes its address as 4711 Airport Perimeter Road, Edmonton International Airport, AB T9E 0V6. Its main contact is 587-416-6453. Use the full address when arranging transport, particularly if someone joining the party knows another Century casino.

The property describes access from the QEII through Airport Road. Check a current route from the actual starting point and allow for traffic and weather. A nearby airport does not establish a scheduled casino shuttle, a fixed journey time or an arrangement for a connecting flight.

Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton is the separate Fort Road property. Century Casino St. Albert is another destination, and Century Downs serves the Calgary area. Their shared operator does not make a room, restaurant or event booking interchangeable.

Give the group the activity, date and meeting point together. A casino-only visitor and someone arriving for the Finish Line Restaurant may need different instructions. Ask Guest Services about the appropriate entrance if the route is unclear.

Casino hours, Derby service and race-day dining

The homepage lists the casino from 9:30am to 3am Sunday through Thursday and 9:30am to 4am Friday and Saturday. Dining outlets and racing have separate arrangements. The casino’s late closing is not a promise that every restaurant or viewing space remains available throughout.

Century Mile published service schedules
Service Published schedule Planning detail
Casino, Sun–Thu 9:30am–3am. Closing falls on the following morning.
Casino, Fri–Sat 9:30am–4am. Arrange transport for the actual departure date.
Derby restaurant Daily 9:30am–11pm. Ask about last orders and the current menu.
Derby lounge Sun–Thu 9:30am–11pm; Fri–Sat 9:30am–1am. Lounge closing can be later than restaurant service.
Finish Line Restaurant Live race days. Use the specific meeting and reservation confirmation.
Racing Seasonal calendar and dated meetings. Check the current racing programme and notices.

All times are local Alberta time. State the actual date for a pickup after midnight: the casino’s Friday hours end at 4am on Saturday. A visitor attending just for dinner can plan around the meal rather than the longest advertised gaming window.

Confirm a holiday, private event or special arrival with the relevant team. Use Guest Services for a general visit and the restaurant or events confirmation for a booking. The separate schedules help avoid arriving for an activity that has already ended.

How the published machine figures differ

The casino overview labels its selection as 600+ slots and VLTs. A separate homepage module uses more than 580 combined, while the dedicated slots page describes more than 600 slot machines and then discusses VLTs separately. These descriptions do not settle one exact current inventory.

The at-a-glance panel uses the combined casino-overview wording and identifies the differences. It does not add a guessed VLT count or convert an approximate selection into an exact cabinet total. Available seats and the number of unique titles are also different measures.

The machine page describes a range from penny play to higher stakes. Read the actual total wager on screen rather than deciding affordability from a denomination label. Lines, credits and feature choices can change the amount deducted per round.

Ask for a particular title by its full name if that determines the trip. The slot mechanics guide explains common controls, and staff can clarify the machine in front of you. An old photograph or familiar game theme does not establish identical settings to another casino.

Replay Arena’s electronic table games

The operator describes Replay Arena as a social electronic-gaming space featuring roulette, baccarat, blackjack and slots. AGLC lists electronic table games and Replay Arena among Century Mile’s facilities. Those descriptions do not promise a conventional live dealer pit.

Electronic table games still require attention to the displayed rules and controls. Check the betting window, total stake, paytable and result information before starting. Ask staff how an unfamiliar terminal works rather than assuming its interface matches a machine used elsewhere.

For electronic blackjack, the payout and dealer rules affect the appropriate decisions. Our dealer-rules guide and basic-strategy introduction explain why a chart must match the version offered. The electronic presentation alone does not answer those rule questions.

At baccarat or roulette, read each optional wager separately. Count the whole round’s cost, including side bets, within the session allowance. A social setting can make it easy to follow another player’s choices without checking whether the same stake suits your own budget.

Standardbred, Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse seasons

Century Mile’s racing section distinguishes three racing types. At the November 1, 2026 review, it advertised the returning Standardbred harness season and said the local Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse season had finished. Its current notice linked visitors to further Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing at Century Downs.

The Standardbred notice listed Friday and Saturday evenings with 5:30pm doors and a 6:35pm first post. Treat that as the checked season’s notice, not a permanent year-round schedule. The dated calendar and any current changes determine an individual meeting.

The term year-round racing in a property overview refers to the wider programme across seasons. It should not be read as live racing every day or the same racing type every month. A casino visit can be available on a day without a live meeting on the track.

Use the official racing section before travelling for a meeting. Check the date, racing type and first post, then fit dining and transport around those details. An older summer start time should not override the current seasonal notice.

Race programmes, changes and a first visit

The operator’s Racing Program & Century Selections page links to race-day programmes, scratches and changes. Start with the programme for the actual meeting. A previous card’s runners, selections or results do not describe the horses competing on another date.

Allow time before the first race to find the chosen viewing area, read the card and ask any basic questions. If dining is part of the plan, settle the restaurant arrangement before the betting window becomes the focus. A race’s post time is separate from a meal reservation.

Watching can be the whole activity. Members of a group should be able to enjoy a race without placing a wager or matching another person’s stakes. Agree on that freedom before dividing the party between dining, viewing and casino areas.

For weather or programme changes, use current operator notices close to departure. If a meeting changes, adjust the itinerary without increasing machine play to fill the gap. A clear leaving time keeps the outing within the plan even when the available activities differ.

The Finish Line Restaurant

The Finish Line Restaurant is on the second level, with tiered race-viewing seating. Its dedicated page says it operates on live race days and requires a buffet purchase for seating during racing. Reservations open on the Monday before the relevant race day or weekend.

The restaurant page ties doors and food service to the first race, but its example schedules use several different post times. Confirm the serving window for the actual meeting rather than choosing an example that happens to look convenient. Guest Services can clarify the arrangement.

For groups of 25 or more, the restaurant directs inquiries to Sales and Events. Smaller parties should still wait for their reservation confirmation. A request is different from a held table, and a preferred sightline or seat should be discussed when making the arrangement.

Use the current Finish Line page for menu, pricing and booking details. Ask about dietary and mobility needs before arrival. Restaurant access and casino-floor access follow different conditions; confirm the correct route for everyone in the party.

Choosing between a race buffet and a casino meal

The Finish Line and Derby serve different plans. A race-day buffet is organised around the meeting and its reservation conditions. A Derby meal is tied to the casino restaurant’s own daily schedule. Choosing the outlet first makes the rest of the itinerary clearer.

For a group interested mainly in watching the races, ask about the meal and view as one arrangement. For visitors who want a casual meal before a casino session, confirm the Derby’s service and menu instead of assuming the race restaurant is available on a non-racing day.

Check the full dining cost for the party and any cancellation or reservation conditions. Keep meals outside the amount set aside for gambling. Someone attending just for the meal should not have to participate in wagering to fit the plan.

When sharing instructions, name the outlet, date and meeting point. Saying only dinner at Century Mile leaves an avoidable question about the floor, entrance and service intended. A simple written confirmation helps when several people arrive independently.

The Derby Restaurant and lounge

The Derby is inside the casino and is advertised as an 18+ establishment. The dedicated page lists the restaurant daily from 9:30am to 11pm. Its lounge runs the same schedule Sunday through Thursday and extends to 1am Friday and Saturday.

The page links to the main menu, breakfast and dessert. Check the intended menu period and last orders with the venue, particularly for a late meal. A lounge remaining open after the restaurant’s listed closing does not establish the full menu remains available.

For allergies or a dietary requirement, ask staff about the current dish and preparation. A general menu description or photograph cannot answer an individual food question. Confirm the relevant details before choosing the restaurant for a group.

Arrange the party’s meal time independently of racing if no live meeting is intended. A casino restaurant can be the whole visit. There is no requirement to extend into a gaming session because other people in the group want to stay longer.

Celly’s Sports Bar & Lounge

Celly’s is the sports bar on the casino floor, with an 18+ description and a dedicated menu link. The reviewed page does not establish a complete standalone daily opening-and-closing schedule. Confirm the service needed rather than copying hours from another Century property’s Celly’s outlet.

If a particular match or broadcast is the reason for visiting, ask whether it is being shown and how seating works. A sports-bar description does not reserve a view of a screen or guarantee every fixture. Give the team the date and the actual event name.

Ask about food availability for the intended time, especially after an evening race meeting. A main casino close can be much later than meal service. Someone relying on a late dinner needs the kitchen’s answer rather than a general building timetable.

Keep the return journey settled when drinks are part of the evening. A ride should work for those leaving after the broadcast as well as anyone staying longer. Transport costs belong outside the gambling allowance.

Off-track betting and different wagering costs

The betting section separates live racing from off-track simulcasts and links to takeout information. An off-track meeting is held elsewhere and viewed remotely. Check the current simulcast calendar for the track, date and local viewing time.

Before submitting an unfamiliar ticket, understand the runners, race, bet type and full cost. Adding selections across combinations can increase the total substantially. Read the ticket after it is issued and raise an error promptly with staff.

Race wagering should be included in the same money plan as other gambling during the outing. Moving from Replay Arena to the races does not reset what has been spent. A new activity is not a new allowance unless that was deliberately planned within an affordable total beforehand.

Use the operator’s current information for wagering rules and takeout rates. This guide does not turn a horse selection into a guaranteed result or compare a race pool directly with a slot’s RTP as though they were the same measure.

Private suites, flexible space and event inquiries

Century Mile advertises tiered restaurant seating, private suites and flexible event space, with catering and audiovisual support. Its event-venues page publishes 587-416-5452 for the Sales and Events Manager, distinct from the main Guest Services number.

Begin with the date, guest count, event type and desired seating. Explain whether the group is focused on racing, a meal, a meeting or a celebration. That gives the team a practical basis for matching the event to an actual room and configuration.

Ask about room access, equipment, catering, service timing and cancellation conditions. A maximum guest count or a room photograph is not enough to settle a layout for screens, tables or presentation space. Confirm the arrangement relevant to the programme.

Wait for written confirmation before issuing final invitations or promising a particular view. An inquiry does not reserve a room, and a private event can affect the usual availability of other viewing areas. Keep the agreed room, setup, timing and contact available to the person coordinating the group.

Accessibility, entrances and mixed-age groups

Describe any mobility or seating requirement when contacting the venue. The route from an entrance to a tiered restaurant, viewing area or gaming floor can matter as much as the seat itself. Ask for the arrangement that fits the actual activity.

The casino dining pages identify the Derby and Celly’s as 18+ settings. The live-harness event notice welcomes all ages to racing, while the Finish Line has age-based buffet categories. Casino gaming is 18+: bring valid government-issued photo identification, with AGLC requiring age checks where someone appears under 25. Confirm the intended entry and permitted routes with Guest Services.

The live-harness event notice specifically warns that the grandstands are not wheelchair accessible. Contact Guest Services about a suitable viewing arrangement before choosing a seat or relying on a general accessibility description.

For an accessible restaurant booking, ask about the table and route before settling only on the view. A request for a particular seat should include the feature required. Keep the confirmation available to the person organising the arrival.

If some guests leave earlier, choose a meeting and pickup point that works independently. A mixed-interest party can split between meals, watching and gaming without making anyone wait on the casino floor or participate in an activity they did not choose.

Parking, flights and an overnight stay

The live-harness event notice advertises free race admission and parking, with outdoor-apron seating offered first come. It also states that dogs and outside food or beverages are not permitted on the apron. Check the conditions of the actual meeting before setting off.

Ask Guest Services about a tall vehicle, accessible parking space or overnight arrangement. Free event parking should not be treated as permission to use the property for airport long-stay parking.

If combining a casino visit with travel, leave sufficient time for the flight’s own check-in and security requirements. The casino’s proximity does not establish a transfer service or guarantee the time needed between the two locations.

No onsite hotel booking facility was established in the reviewed Century Mile visitor pages. Arrange accommodation separately if an overnight stay is required and check how the return journey will work. The hotel at Century Casino Edmonton belongs to the separate Fort Road venue.

Keep travel, food and accommodation money distinct from gambling funds. A safe ride or a confirmed room should not depend on winning. Choose the leaving time before the evening begins and allow members of the party to stick to it.

RTP, volatility and progressive conditions

The number of machines at Century Mile does not establish one venue-wide winning percentage. Theoretical return belongs to a specific game configuration, while the result of a short session can differ greatly from a long-run average.

Our RTP guide explains that measure, and the volatility guide explains variation in outcomes. Neither promises that a visitor will recover a fixed share of the money brought to the casino.

Read progressive qualification and additional-bet conditions on the actual game. An old photograph or another venue’s prize display cannot establish the current jackpot here. This guide does not invent a jackpot ceiling, payout rate or claim that a particular machine is due.

Choose a stake within the planned allowance, including optional wagers. Track spending across games and breaks. The budget calculator illustrates the effect of pace and stakes but cannot predict the outcome or enforce a stopping point.

Rewards, gift cards and cashier questions

The property links to Winner’s Edge player rewards, while some dining modules name both Winners’ Zone and Winner’s Edge. Confirm current eligibility and the particular venue benefit before relying on an offer. A programme name in a website module does not establish every restaurant or machine entitlement.

The homepage describes gift cards for food, beverages and merchandise and says they cannot be exchanged for gambling. Keep that distinction clear if arranging a present, group meal or event contribution. A dining gift is not a gambling balance.

For machine tickets or cash-out questions, follow the venue’s instructions and ask staff if unfamiliar with the process. Keep a ticket until it is redeemed or a question settled. An online casino withdrawal has a different process from a physical casino cashier.

If gambling becomes difficult to control, stop and ask about assistance. Our Alberta gambling-help page provides support and self-exclusion information. A rewards target, another race or a late close should not displace the limit chosen before beginning.

Compare other Alberta venues

The Alberta land-based casino directory links to other physical venues and their visitor information. Compare the actual location, gaming format, dining and accommodation before choosing a destination; a shared Century name does not make an event or restaurant booking interchangeable.

Century Mile FAQs

Where is Century Mile and which contact should I use?

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino publishes 4711 Airport Perimeter Road, Edmonton International Airport, AB T9E 0V6. Guest Services is 587-416-6453. The event-venues page lists 587-416-5452 for Sales and Events. This airport-area property is separate from Century Casino Edmonton on Fort Road, Century St. Albert and Century Downs near Calgary.

What are the casino’s published opening hours?

The homepage lists Sunday–Thursday 9:30am–3am and Friday–Saturday 9:30am–4am the following morning. These are casino hours, not a complete dining or racing timetable. Confirm a holiday or time-sensitive visit with Guest Services, and specify the actual date for transport after midnight. Sources were checked November 1, 2026.

Does Century Mile have exactly 600 slot machines?

The casino overview uses 600+ slots and VLTs together. A separate homepage module uses more than 580 combined, while the slots page describes more than 600 slot machines and discusses VLTs separately. These differing descriptions do not establish one exact current slot-only inventory. The guide does not add overlapping figures or invent a separate VLT total.

Which games does Replay Arena advertise?

The operator describes Replay Arena as a social electronic-gaming space with roulette, baccarat, blackjack and slots. AGLC also lists electronic table games and Replay Arena among the property’s facilities. These descriptions do not promise a conventional live dealer pit. Check the rules, displayed stake and optional wagers on the actual version before playing.

Are live races held every day and always at the same time?

No daily year-round timetable is established. The reviewed Standardbred notice advertises Friday/Saturday evenings, 5:30pm doors and a 6:35pm first post for the season. Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse racing have separate seasons. Confirm the dated meeting and current changes before travelling; the casino’s opening hours do not establish a live race on the track.

When do The Derby restaurant and lounge operate?

The Derby page lists restaurant service daily 9:30am–11pm. Its lounge lists Sunday–Thursday 9:30am–11pm and Friday–Saturday 9:30am–1am. The Derby is advertised as 18+. Confirm the intended menu period and last orders, particularly for a late meal; a later lounge closing does not establish that the full restaurant menu remains available.

How do Finish Line Restaurant reservations and seating work?

The second-level restaurant is advertised for live race days, and a buffet purchase is required for seating during racing. Reservations open the preceding Monday and still need confirmation. Groups of 25 or more are directed to Sales and Events. Confirm food-service timing for the actual meeting because the page’s example post times differ from the checked Standardbred notice.

Can families attend racing and are the grandstands accessible?

The live-harness event notice welcomes all ages to racing and advertises free admission and parking. It specifically says the grandstands are not wheelchair accessible. Ask Guest Services about a suitable viewing arrangement and permitted routes. Casino gaming, The Derby and Celly’s are 18+; an all-ages race notice does not grant younger guests access to those areas.
