River Cree Resort & Casino

Editor: Updated

River Cree Resort & Casino combines gaming, a hotel, restaurants, live entertainment and the Twin Rinks at its Enoch address west of Edmonton. The main casino floor is smoke-free, while Embers provides a separate smoke-friendly gaming setting. Choosing the right area is part of planning the visit, alongside the game, meal or event you want.

This guide covers River Cree itself: the published machine inventory, poker contact and timetable, dining service periods, accommodation and group facilities. It also distinguishes the hotel’s family facilities and permitted non-gaming routes from casino areas and adult show admission.

Operator information checked November 1, 2026. The detailed slot inventory separates the main floor and Embers. Some summaries and table counts differ; those distinctions are explained below.

Getting to River Cree in Enoch

Use the full Enoch address in a map or lift booking. River Cree serves the greater Edmonton area, but its street address is not a downtown Edmonton destination. Give anyone travelling separately the property name, entrance or meeting place and a clear arrival time.

The operator lists complimentary parking, and the Players Club page describes complimentary valet with a daily 9:30am–3am service period. That valet schedule is shorter than the casino’s opening. Arrange collection and departure around the actual service you intend to use.

For an access requirement, describe the route you need: from parking to reception, into a restaurant or through to an event room. Ask about suitable seating and the relevant entrance. A general statement that parking is available does not answer every mobility or equipment question.

Our Edmonton casino guide covers the wider region. PURE Casino Yellowhead and Grand Villa Casino are separate destinations with their own addresses, rooms and schedules.

Casino, table and poker opening times

Operator-published service periods checked November 1, 2026
Service Published period Planning detail
Casino and slots 24 hours daily Other services follow separate periods.
Live tables Daily 11am–3am Friday’s period ends at 3am Saturday.
Poker Monday–Wednesday 11am–3am Use the dedicated Hours block and confirm the running game.
Poker Thursday–Sunday 24 hours The introductory paragraph names fewer days; ask the room about the actual arrival.
Valet Daily 9:30am–3am Published complimentary service has shorter hours than casino access.

The casino and slot operation are advertised around the clock. Live tables have a daily opening and closing period, while the poker room’s detailed Hours block distinguishes the early part of the week from its longer weekend operation.

Use the timetable in the quick facts for the activity you want. Some gaming-page summaries show a shorter poker description or omit days. The dedicated room listing and contact-page footer provide the fuller weekly pattern, and the poker team can confirm a particular late arrival.

Plan by activity rather than building access

A restaurant, a live table and a hotel room do not become available simply because the casino is open. Choose the fixed part of the outing first: a meal booking, tournament start, show admission or confirmed hotel arrival. Fit any flexible gaming time around that arrangement.

A room operating overnight does not guarantee the game or stakes you want. Ask about the actual format and expected arrival instead of asking only whether the casino is open. Allow for a wait without assuming that it must be filled by playing a different game.

Give a driver a precise date as well as a time. A departure after midnight following Friday evening is on Saturday. Agree on the return journey and intended finish before beginning, especially when members of the group will separate between gaming, dining and a show.

Slots on the main floor and in Embers

The dedicated slot page divides its total into 815 machines on the smoke-free main floor and 850 in Embers. It separately lists ten VLTs and electronic roulette and blackjack on the main floor. The 815 and 850 figures add to 1,665 slots. The ten VLTs remain a separate category rather than additional slots.

Embers is described as smoke-friendly, including its high-limit slot section. Choose the environment that suits your visit instead of assuming every gaming area follows the main floor’s smoke-free description. Ask staff for a route if avoiding a smoke-friendly section matters to you.

Check the machine’s cash settings

A credit denomination does not necessarily equal the full amount used in a round. Multiple credits, lines or optional features can change the total. Read the final selected wager after changing a setting or moving to another machine.

Use the help screen to understand winning combinations and any conditions attached to a progressive feature. An advertised machine count does not identify vacant seats, and a property photograph does not reserve a particular title. Contact the casino first if one game determines whether you make the trip.

Keep remaining credits and cash-out tickets in the same spending record as cash. A change of area does not start a new budget. Our slot mechanics guide, RTP explanation and volatility guide explain the terms without predicting a short session’s result. The slot rules guide covers paytables, wager settings and feature instructions.

Live games, high-limit tables and differing counts

The table page’s introductory overview advertises forty-six table games, while its detailed section says forty and gives a fifteen-table main floor, eleven-table high-limit area and fourteen-table Embers breakdown. These are differing published descriptions, not figures to add together or a live count of open games.

The page names blackjack, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, three-card poker, Chase the Flush, craps and baccarat across its areas. Confirm the game, version and location you want. The high-limit facility is described as smoke-friendly, so it should not inherit the main floor’s general smoke-free label.

Understanding the table before buying in

Read the posted minimum and payout, then establish the required wagers and available decisions. Some games need more than one opening bet or an additional wager later in the round. The smallest number on a sign may not describe the full amount required to complete a hand.

A casino poker-based table is different from player-versus-player poker in the separate room. Use the complete game name when making an inquiry. Likewise, a blackjack or baccarat version should not be assumed to match every rule at another property.

Optional side bets have their own conditions and cost. Count them within the same spending limit, and ask for an explanation before placing one if the rules are unfamiliar. Watching a round can help establish the pace and procedure without committing to a seat.

See our payout guide and side-bet explanation for background. The actual table’s posted conditions determine the game.

The poker room and its direct contact

The poker page describes a dedicated team, tables with USB charging, food service and a separate enclosed smoke room. Use 780-930-2707 for a room-specific inquiry rather than relying only on general resort reception.

The operator links to its PokerAtlas room listing and advertises phone-list and app arrangements. Ask how the current list works, whether an arrival deadline applies and what is actually running. Being on a list is not the same as already holding an occupied seat at a chosen game.

Cash games, tournaments and private groups

For cash play, establish the format, stakes, buy-in and waiting time. For a tournament, check the dated schedule, entry fee, structure, registration deadline and re-entry conditions. Those details matter more to the length and cost of the outing than the room’s overall table count.

The property also invites inquiries about private cash games. A group should confirm the game, numbers, availability and conditions with the poker team before telling everyone the arrangement is final. A private dinner or hotel booking does not automatically reserve poker space.

Food service at the room makes a meal inquiry useful when planning a longer session, but confirm what is available at the intended hour. Set a meal break and a departure time that fit the whole visit rather than treating overnight room access as a reason to extend the session indefinitely.

The Kitchen Restaurant and its split service periods

The Kitchen offers full-service dining and buffet periods, with different arrangements through the week. For a reservation or special request, its published contact is 780-930-2679.

The Kitchen published service periods checked November 1, 2026
Service Published schedule
Weekday breakfast Mon–Fri 7am–11am
Weekend breakfast buffet Sat–Sun 7am–2pm
Full-service dining Mon–Thu 11am–10pm; Fri 11am–2pm; Sun 4pm–10pm
Evening buffet Fri–Sat 4pm–10pm; afternoon closure listed from 2pm–4pm

Choose the service you actually want when booking. A Friday or Saturday afternoon arrival can fall between the advertised periods. The existence of an all-day menu does not establish uninterrupted service on every day.

For a group, give the date, headcount, dietary needs and any fixed departure. Allow time to eat before show doors or poker registration. The official Kitchen page provides the relevant menus; a dated dining promotion should not replace the current menu and service arrangement.

Tap 25, Hell’s Kitchen and quicker food options

Tap 25 separates food and bar service. Its published food period is daily 5am–1am, with bar service 9am–2am. The page advertises walk-ins without a required reservation. Check the actual broadcast and seating arrangement if attending for a particular sporting event.

Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen lists daily lunch noon–2pm and dinner 4pm–11pm, with its own contact, 780-930-2615. It is separate from The Kitchen Restaurant, with its own menus. Use the official Hell’s Kitchen page for the current arrangement rather than applying another outlet’s timetable or buffet description.

Other advertised choices include Fatburger, Cree Subs and Lobby Coffee Bar, while Onyx is in smoke-friendly Embers. River Cree Eats lists Thursday–Sunday and show-night service from 5:30pm to midnight. Choose the outlet and environment as well as the food you want.

A late bar does not establish late full-menu service. If dining after a concert or poker session, ask which kitchen is serving and what last orders apply. Keep time for the meal itself instead of planning to arrive at the final listed minute.

Use the dining directory to compare outlets and Tap 25’s page for its own menus. A restaurant visit can be the complete outing without adding a gaming session.

Hotel rooms, suites and guest amenities

The hotel offers traditional king and two-queen rooms, a luxury one-bedroom suite and a luxury family suite among its room descriptions. Compare the selected room’s layout and occupancy with the needs of the people staying rather than relying on a general resort photograph.

The accommodation page lists in-room internet, a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker, along with guest access to the pool, whirlpool and fitness centre. It also advertises 24/7 Eats in-room dining. Guest services should not be treated as automatic benefits of entering the casino.

Booking the complete stay

Use the hotel reservation line for dates, room type, arrival arrangements and the complete quoted cost. Confirm check-in, checkout, payment requirements and cancellation conditions for the actual booking. A late casino session does not by itself extend the room stay.

If breakfast is important, check whether it is included in the selected rate or package, where it is served and who is covered. A breakfast package on the website does not mean every room rate includes every restaurant’s menu.

Keep hotel, dining and entertainment confirmations together but distinct. A room booking does not automatically reserve a show seat, dinner table or poker game. The official accommodation page provides room descriptions and the current booking route.

Family access and routes through non-gaming areas

Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. The resort’s permission for designated family routes does not extend to the gaming floor or adult shows.

The resort publishes a specific minors-permitted policy. It allows accompanied minors to access designated non-gaming areas for restaurants, the rinks and community events, while prohibiting gaming-floor access and lingering around gaming areas. The policy also distinguishes the resort’s adult shows from community events.

Use the operator’s current route map and access policy when planning a family visit. Ask staff which entrance and indoor route serves the restaurant, rink or booked activity. A family hotel stay does not make every casino area or performance suitable for the same group.

Choose a meeting place that everyone in the party can use. When adults separate for gaming, retain a clear plan for the family’s meal, activity and departure rather than treating the gaming floor as the common meeting point.

Twin Rinks and a separate sports visit

River Cree Sports describes two full NHL-sized rinks, public drop-in programmes, hockey and learn-to-skate activities, plus a pro shop. The rink contact is 780-930-2681, separate from the casino’s poker and hotel numbers.

Use the published drop-in schedule for an actual skating opportunity. Office opening hours do not establish that public ice is available throughout the day, and a hotel booking should not be assumed to include a programme place or ice rental.

For a team or group, confirm the session, arrival procedure, equipment needs and any changing-room arrangement with the rink. Build dining and hotel plans around the confirmed sports timetable rather than treating the whole complex as one continuously available activity.

Shows at The Venue and planning a concert night

The official event calendar lists concerts, comedy and seasonal performances, with individual ticket links. Current listings include a mixture of music acts and other entertainment; the actual dated event determines start time, admission and seating.

Use the official upcoming-shows calendar to reach the relevant event and ticket seller. Check the date carefully, especially when a performer has more than one show or a rescheduled appearance. A general poster is not a seat reservation.

Read doors, performance start, seat category, fees and delivery arrangements before organising the evening. A hotel room, meal or Players Club membership should not be assumed to include admission unless the selected offer explicitly says so.

If eating beforehand, work backwards from the fixed show time and leave space to reach the correct entrance. Agree on a meeting point and ride home if the group separates afterward. The casino remaining open does not require the outing to continue beyond the performance.

Meetings, ballrooms and private event spaces

The meetings page offers The Venue, Enoch Grand Ballroom, River Cree Ballroom, Strongwoods Room and Chief’s Boardroom. The boardroom is described with seating for sixteen, while The Venue’s advertised range reaches up to 2,500 depending on use. The homepage separately advertises up to 2,400 for The Venue. Confirm the proposed layout and permitted headcount rather than treating either overall figure as a guaranteed dinner capacity.

Event inquiries use 780-930-2622 or sales@rivercreeresort.com. Identify the date, headcount, event type, layout, catering and presentation needs. The operator also invites guestroom-block inquiries for ten rooms or more.

Ask for the capacity of the proposed setup, including staging, dance floor, equipment or exhibition space. Obtain a proposal covering access time, staffing, food, audiovisual arrangements and the complete cost. Keep payment and cancellation terms with the confirmation rather than treating an inquiry as a held room.

For an event with overnight guests, give the sales team a rooming estimate as well as the function headcount. The number attending dinner may differ from the number needing bedrooms, and some guests may arrive or leave on different days. Identify any early setup team, equipment delivery and presentation rehearsal separately from public arrival. Ask how the function will connect with the hotel and restaurant parts of the visit, including the named person responsible for each arrangement. A written running order makes those handovers clearer: setup, guest arrival, food service, speeches or performance, and the final departure.

The official meetings page provides catering and capacity links. A wedding, conference, public performance and private dinner can use the same property while needing substantially different arrangements.

Players Club, Winner’s Edge and visit costs

River Cree advertises its Players Club alongside Winner’s Edge. The Players Club page describes selected dining and hotel benefits, personalised offers and redemption into River Cree Bucks, with exclusions and eligibility conditions. Ask which programme and card apply to the service you are using.

A room or meal discount should be checked against the actual date, outlet and rate. Keep reward balances distinct from cash-out tickets and money set aside for transport. A point balance is not automatically a cash balance available for every purchase.

Choose the spending plan first. Extra play to reach a reward threshold can cost more than the benefit is worth. Include room, meals, tickets and travel when deciding what is available for entertainment, and count machine, table and poker play together.

Our budget calculator helps organise the full outing, while the gambling support page provides help information. For other destinations, use the Alberta casino directory.

River Cree Resort & Casino FAQs

Where is River Cree and which numbers reach poker and the hotel?

The resort is at 300 East Lapotac Boulevard, Enoch, AB T7X 3Y3, west of Edmonton. Call 780-484-2121 for general inquiries, 780-930-2707 for poker or 1-844-425-2733 for hotel reservations. Use the complete address and identify the activity when arranging a ride, meal, game or room. A booking for one service does not automatically reserve the others.

How many slots are advertised and is the whole floor smoke-free?

The dedicated slot page lists 815 slots on the smoke-free main floor and 850 in smoke-friendly Embers, totalling 1,665. Ten VLTs are listed separately. The described high-limit table facility is also smoke-friendly. Choose the area and ask about the route you need. These are advertised equipment counts, not a live list of available machines, distinct titles or vacant seats.

Why does the table-games page give two totals?

Its introductory overview advertises forty-six table games, while the detailed section says forty and breaks them into fifteen main-floor, eleven high-limit and fourteen Embers tables. Those three figures add to forty; they should not be added again to either headline. The discrepancy remains unresolved. Confirm the particular game, variant, location and actual operating conditions rather than treating either total as staffed vacancies.

Are poker and slots on the same weekly schedule?

Slots are advertised 24 hours daily. The dedicated poker Hours block lists Monday–Wednesday 11am–3am and Thursday–Sunday 24 hours, checked November 1, 2026. Its introduction names only Thursday–Saturday for round-the-clock poker, and some summaries omit early-week days. Use the detailed block as the attributed timetable and call the room about the actual game, wait and late arrival. Live tables are daily 11am–3am.

Are The Kitchen and Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen the same restaurant?

No. The Kitchen has weekday breakfast, weekend breakfast buffet, full-service dining and Friday–Saturday evening buffet periods. Hell’s Kitchen separately lists daily lunch noon–2pm and dinner 4pm–11pm, with contact 780-930-2615. Tap 25 also separates food service from bar hours. Check the actual outlet, available menu and last orders rather than transferring one restaurant’s timetable to another.

Does a hotel stay include every facility, meal or event?

The hotel advertises 249 guest rooms including eleven luxury suites, with guest pool, whirlpool and fitness access among its amenities. Confirm the selected room, occupancy, rate, arrival, payment and cancellation conditions. A breakfast package is not every room rate. Show admission, restaurant reservations, poker arrangements and rink programmes need their own confirmation unless the actual booked offer expressly includes them.

Can minors pass through the casino to reach a restaurant or rink?

The operator permits accompanied minors on designated non-gaming routes to restaurants, the rinks and community events, but prohibits gaming-floor access and lingering around gaming areas. River Cree shows remain 18+. Use the current operator map and ask staff about the correct entrance. Casino gaming is 18+; bring valid government-issued photo ID, with AGLC age checks where someone appears under 25.

Does a resort visit reserve public ice or a show seat?

No reservation or inclusion is established simply by visiting the property. Twin Rinks has two full NHL-sized rinks and programme-specific drop-in arrangements; call 780-930-2681 about the actual session and participation requirements. For a show, use the dated official event and ticket details. Office hours are not a public-skating timetable, and a hotel or dinner booking does not automatically hold an activity place.

How do I check a meeting or private-event capacity?

Call 780-930-2622 or email sales@rivercreeresort.com with the date, headcount, layout, catering and equipment needs. The meetings tab advertises The Venue up to 2,500, while the homepage separately says 2,400; obtain the permitted headcount for the proposed setup. Chief’s Boardroom is described with sixteen seats. Group guestroom-block inquiries start at ten rooms. An inquiry does not hold space or confirm a price.
