Starlight Casino Edmonton combines slots, live table games, Replay Arena and dining at West Edmonton Mall. Its dedicated casino entrance and longer gaming hours make it a different visit from the mall’s ordinary shopping day, with separate schedules for restaurants and particular games.
This guide covers the Edmonton property, rather than the Starlight casino in British Columbia. It explains the advertised slot inventory, direct entrance, parking areas, table and dining periods, and the distinction between a dated poker event and assuming a regular daily poker-room service.

Information checked November 1, 2026. Slot quantity is an advertised inventory figure, not a count of vacant machines. ATLAS’s operator and restaurant pages list service, while Travel Alberta carries a closure statement; confirm the actual dining date directly.
Entrance 9, parking and finding the casino
The casino’s Getting Here page directs visitors to Entrance 9 on 90 Avenue, between 170 Street and 178 Street. It identifies lots 9-A through 9-D as the preferred parking areas. Use that entrance information as well as the mall’s street address when arranging a lift.
The mall’s nightlife directory places Starlight on Level 2. The casino’s own directions describe its position near the mall’s ice centre. A clear entrance and level are more useful than asking friends to meet somewhere inside the shopping complex.
Plan the return route, especially when staying beyond the ordinary shopping period. A lift booked to a different mall entrance can leave the group waiting in the wrong place. Agree on the actual pickup point and departure time before separating for dining or gaming.
For a specific access requirement, ask about the route from the preferred parking area to the casino or restaurant. Give staff the entrance, destination and assistance needed. A general mall address does not establish that every indoor route is suitable or remains available at every hour.
The official casino directions are the starting point for arrival. Check the mall’s current visitor and transport information when combining the casino with another destination rather than relying on an old bus-route list.
Casino hours and the separate mall timetable
| Service | Published period | Planning detail |
|---|---|---|
| Casino and slots | 24 hours daily | Use Entrance 9; other mall services have separate schedules. |
| Live tables | Daily 11am–3am | Closing falls on the following calendar day; confirm the particular game. |
| Craps | Friday–Saturday 3pm–late | The operator does not give an exact closing time in this specific listing. |
The operator currently lists casino and slot access around the clock, with live tables daily from 11am to 3am. Use the Edmonton property’s own schedule when planning the gaming part of the visit.
The mall’s shops and attractions have their own schedules. A casino remaining open does not make every shop, restaurant or attraction available all night. Use the official mall hours page for the other part of a combined visit.
Build the outing around its fixed parts
A meal booking, show or scheduled activity gives the day a useful anchor. Decide when to arrive, where to meet and what time to leave before fitting flexible gaming time around it. Someone attending only the meal can still have a complete visit.
For a particular table game, name the game and arrival time when calling. The general table period does not guarantee that every game has a staffed, vacant seat throughout it. Craps has a more specific advertised period, addressed below.
An early-morning departure belongs to the next calendar date after an evening arrival. Give a driver the precise date and time. Keep that return journey independent of whether the casino or another attraction remains open.
The advertised slot inventory and Starlight Room
Travel Alberta currently lists 768 slots. That matches Gateway’s original Starlight launch inventory, so this guide identifies it as an advertised property figure rather than claiming a fresh physical count. Current machine availability and individual game locations should be checked with the casino.
The operator’s slot page describes new and classic games, plus the Starlight Room for higher-limit players. Named examples include 88 Fortunes, Buffalo, Lightning Cash and Huff N More Puff. A title in that list is not a held machine or confirmation that a particular cabinet is free.
Denomination and total stake are different
The page describes denominations from penny machines through five-dollar machines. A denomination is not necessarily the full cost of a spin: several credits, lines or features can change the selected cash wager. Read the final amount before playing and again after adjusting a setting.
The machines are described as coinless, using tickets or bills and ticket-out collection. Ask where to redeem a ticket and how to collect remaining credits before starting if the controls are unfamiliar. Keep tickets secure and include them in the same spending record as cash.
Use the help screen for paytables, feature rules and qualifying conditions. Our slot mechanics guide, RTP explanation and volatility guide explain terminology without predicting a result or identifying a machine as due to pay. The slot rules guide covers paytables, wager settings and feature instructions.
Live games and the specific craps period
The current table page names roulette, EZ and Ruyi baccarat, Double Down Madness, blackjack, Freebet, Ultimate Texas Hold’em and three-card poker variants. Several have progressive or side-wager features. Ask which version is running when a particular ruleset determines the visit.
Craps is advertised on Friday and Saturday from 3pm until late. That specific listing should not be expanded into a daily morning game simply because the broader table floor opens earlier.
Read the particular table’s conditions
Check the minimum, main payout and required wagers before buying in. Some games require more than one opening placement or an additional decision later in the round. The smallest figure on a sign may not describe the complete cost of continuing a hand.
A blackjack variant can differ from ordinary blackjack, and a baccarat version can have different settlement conditions. Use the complete name when asking staff about the game. A general tutorial should not override the rules posted at the table.
Optional side wagers have separate conditions and cost. Include them within the same chosen spending limit rather than treating them as an uncounted addition. Watching a round or asking a question is a reasonable way to approach an unfamiliar layout.
Our payout guide and side-bet explanation provide background for those decisions.
Replay Arena’s eighteen individual stations
The dedicated Replay page describes eighteen individual play stations, with baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette and sic bo among the options. Those station figures describe the installation, not a live vacancy list.
Read the terminal’s own instructions before joining a round. Locate the selected wager, betting timer, confirmation controls and cash-out process. A familiar game name does not establish that the interface or available betting options match another electronic installation.
Recheck the cash amount when switching games or adding placements. A base denomination can remain unchanged while the total stake increases. Ask an attendant to explain an unfamiliar control before confirming the wager.
Choose the format that fits the visit rather than treating electronic play as a substitute you must use while waiting for a live table. A meal or break can be the next activity without adding another gaming session.
The advertised November poker event
The homepage currently features a specific tournament with Phil Hellmuth and Nick Hellmuth on November 13, 2026. The event page lists a 4pm tournament start, an earlier players-only reception and registration opening at Guest Services on November 1 at 11am, with a forty-seat limit.
That is a dated event, not confirmation of an everyday cash-poker room. If looking for a regular game on another evening, ask the casino directly rather than inferring room availability from the tournament advertisement or an old opening description.
Read the event’s current entry, fee, payment, registration and re-entry conditions before making a plan. Limited seats and a published registration opening do not guarantee that a place remains available when you arrive. A reception associated with tournament participation should not be assumed to be general public admission.
For the current arrangement, use the official dated event page. For other advertised poker rooms, see our PURE Casino Yellowhead and River Cree guides, checking their own games and schedules.
ATLAS, NOVA and CHOW dining hours
The operator’s current dining page lists three outlets. It describes ATLAS as family-friendly and publishes active service periods, matched by ATLAS’s own West Edmonton Mall page. Travel Alberta separately carries a closure statement. Because these published descriptions disagree, confirm the restaurant’s availability for the actual date directly.
| Outlet | Published schedule |
|---|---|
| ATLAS Steak + Fish | Wed–Thu and Sun 4:30pm–11pm; Fri–Sat 4:30pm–midnight; Mon–Tue closed |
| NOVA Bar | Daily 9am–2am |
| CHOW Lucky Noodle Bar | Daily 11am–10pm |
Choose the actual outlet and service when arranging a meal. The evening ATLAS timetable should not be treated as an all-week breakfast service, and a bar remaining open late does not establish that every food menu continues until the same time.
Use the official dining page for menus and the outlet website links. Confirm the booking, headcount, dietary requirements and any fixed departure before the visit, especially when a group is arriving separately.
Choosing the meal and setting
ATLAS provides a steak-and-fish dinner option, while CHOW is described as offering dine-in and takeout from its open-kitchen noodle-bar setting. NOVA is on the casino floor and is promoted as a place for conversation and watching a game.
Those are different arrangements. A family dinner request should identify the intended restaurant and suitable entrance rather than assuming children can follow every route through casino gaming areas. Ask the outlet for its current access and reservation instructions.
For a sports visit, confirm the particular broadcast, sound and seating before organising the group around it. The presence of televisions or a general sports description does not guarantee the arrangement for every match.
Allow enough time to order, eat and settle the bill before a scheduled event or departure. Include drinks and additions when deciding on the meal budget. A dining benefit or promotion should be checked against the actual order rather than applied automatically to every item.
A restaurant visit can stand on its own. People joining only for dinner should have a clear meeting point and return plan without needing to locate the rest of the party around the gaming floor.
Restaurant and mall contacts for a combined visit
ATLAS West Edmonton Mall has its own contact, separate from general casino inquiries: 587-460-2423 or sle-atlassteakandfish@gatewaycasinos.ca. The restaurant’s own location page confirms its weekday closures, evening timetable and family-friendly status. Use the West Edmonton Mall location when booking rather than the separate ATLAS at Grand Villa in the Ice District.
The same restaurant page advertises lounge piano from 6pm to 9pm on Friday and Saturday. If that is part of the occasion, ask about the intended seating area and arrangement before booking. A piano listing should not be treated as a reservation of a particular table or a promise that every seat has the same view and sound.
For a birthday, anniversary or larger dinner, give the restaurant the date, exact guest count and any accessibility or dietary requirements. Ask what the proposed reservation includes, which menu will apply and whether there are conditions for changing the headcount. Keep the restaurant’s confirmation with the rest of the visit plan rather than relying on a general casino inquiry.
West Edmonton Mall Guest Services uses 780-444-5321 for help locating businesses and navigating the complex. That is a different service from the casino’s contact. Someone who knows the mall entrance but cannot find a particular store or another meeting point can use the mall team rather than asking casino staff to handle every part of the shopping visit.
The mall identifies Guest Services as its lost-and-found contact, with inquiries during mall hours and an email option at guestservices@wem.ca. If an item was left in a restaurant or casino area, also identify the actual location and visit time to that business. A clear description and a likely place are more useful than assuming that every item left anywhere in the complex reaches one desk immediately.
For all three services, prepare the date, location and purpose before calling. A casino game inquiry, dinner booking and mall-navigation question need different information. Record the relevant contact and agreed arrangement in the message shared with the group, so people arriving at different times can follow the same plan without having to reconstruct it from several separate conversations.
The ATLAS West Edmonton Mall page and mall contact directory provide the direct details. Check the response and any booking terms for the actual visit rather than treating a published number as a completed reservation.
Combining Starlight with a mall visit
The mall location makes it possible to plan more than one activity, but each part needs its own timetable and admission arrangement. A casino session, restaurant booking, attraction ticket and shopping trip are separate commitments.
Choose the fixed item first and work backwards. For example, a confirmed dinner time can determine when to finish shopping, while an attraction booking can determine when the group meets afterward. Keep travel between areas in the schedule rather than assuming every destination is immediately beside the casino.
If members of the party have different interests, agree on a place everyone can access and a time to regroup. A family activity and an adult gaming session need a different meeting plan from two friends using the same restaurant.
For an overnight trip, arrange the selected hotel separately and confirm its address, arrival deadline, total cost and route back after dinner or gaming. A casino visit does not itself reserve accommodation or extend a hotel’s checkout.
Use the mall’s official visitor information for the other activity’s current access. Casino opening times should not be used as the timetable for the whole complex.
From Palace Casino to the Starlight development
Gateway announced Starlight’s grand opening for September 26, 2018, following the transformation of Palace Casino at West Edmonton Mall. Its launch description set out a 120,000-square-foot entertainment development with gaming and dining.
That is an overall development description, not a reason to treat every square foot as slot-machine space. Historical restaurant and poker-room counts should likewise not be carried forward as proof that every original service remains available today.
This guide uses the current operator’s game and dining pages for those services and identifies the slot count by its advertised source. A development can retain the same name while changing menus, room uses, equipment or event arrangements.
For the original background, see Gateway’s opening announcement. For a visit now, the current service page and a specific inquiry are more useful than treating the opening-day offering as a complete current inventory.
Winner’s Edge and local dining offers
The casino advertises Winner’s Edge and links to current programme information. Ask how the card should be used, which activity qualifies and what redemption conditions apply. A programme heading does not guarantee every offer is available on every visit.
Keep points distinct from cash, tickets and the amount reserved for getting home. A point balance is not automatically money that can be spent on every meal or service. Confirm the actual benefit before including it as a saving in the outing budget.
If considering a dining or membership offer, check the outlet, date, qualifying items and any exclusions. Another casino’s local meal arrangement should not be assumed to apply here simply because it uses the same wider rewards programme.
Choose the spending and time limits first. Additional play to reach a threshold can cost more than the benefit is worth. Use the official programme page and Guest Services for the current arrangement rather than relying on an old promotional amount.
Access, the return journey and the full cost
Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. ATLAS’s invitation to minors applies to that restaurant’s arrangements, not gaming-floor access. Ask the outlet about the appropriate entrance and route for a family meal.
Describe a specific access requirement to the casino or selected restaurant. Useful details include the entrance, route from parking, suitable seating and the destination within the property. A general question about visiting the mall may not resolve a particular route.
Set aside food, tickets and transport before deciding what is available for gaming. Count slot, electronic and live-table spending together rather than restarting the budget when changing activities. A break, meal or departure remains an option when the casino is still open.
Our budget calculator helps organise the complete trip, while the gambling support page provides help information. Decide on the return journey before the evening becomes open-ended.
The Edmonton guide and Alberta casino directory cover other destinations. Compare the activity and journey you want, using each property’s own contact and schedule.
Starlight Casino Edmonton FAQs
The casino directs visitors to Entrance 9 on 90 Avenue, between 170 Street and 178 Street, with lots 9-A through 9-D preferred. The operator address is #2710, 8882–170 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5T 3J7. The mall lists Starlight on Level 2. Call 780-444-2112 about the particular entrance, access requirement or late pickup arrangement you need. No. The Edmonton operator lists casino and slots 24 hours daily, with live tables daily 11am–3am, checked November 1, 2026. Craps has a specific Friday–Saturday 3pm–late listing, without an exact closing time in that description. Shops, attractions and dining follow separate schedules. After-midnight closing is on the following calendar day, and a floor timetable does not guarantee every game or vacant seat. Travel Alberta lists 768 slots, matching Gateway’s dated 2018 launch inventory. This is an attributed advertised figure, not a fresh physical count or a vacancy list. The current Replay page describes eighteen individual stations with baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette and sic bo among the options. Read the actual machine or terminal rules, wager and controls rather than assuming identical conditions across formats. The operator advertises a Phil Hellmuth and Nick Hellmuth tournament at 4pm, with a 3pm reception for tournament players, a forty-seat limit and registration opening November 1 at 11am at Guest Services. It allows registration for a maximum of two people, with cash or debit payment and no credit cards. Confirm availability and full conditions; this dated event does not establish an everyday cash-poker room. The casino and ATLAS’s own location page publish evening service and welcome minors, while Travel Alberta separately carries a closure statement. Confirm the actual dining date directly with the West Edmonton Mall restaurant at 587-460-2423. Its listed hours are Wednesday–Thursday and Sunday 4:30pm–11pm, Friday–Saturday 4:30pm–midnight, and closed Monday–Tuesday. The separate Ice District ATLAS has its own arrangements. No. NOVA Bar is listed daily 9am–2am and CHOW Lucky Noodle Bar daily 11am–10pm. ATLAS has separate evening periods and weekday closures. A bar opening time does not establish all-menu food service. Ask about the outlet, last orders, dietary needs and booking for the actual meal rather than applying the casino’s continuous opening to every restaurant. West Edmonton Mall Guest Services uses 780-444-5321. Its contact page identifies that team for help locating businesses and for lost-and-found inquiries during mall hours, with guestservices@wem.ca as an email option. If an item was left inside the casino or a restaurant, also identify the location and visit time to that business. Mall Guest Services and the casino are separate contacts. Casino gaming is 18+. Bring valid government-issued photo identification; AGLC requires age checks where someone appears under 25. ATLAS West Edmonton Mall says minors are welcome at that restaurant, but that does not permit gaming-floor entry. Ask the restaurant about its entrance and route. A meal reservation, mall attraction ticket or hotel stay does not override casino entry conditions. No universal inclusion is assumed. Use the current programme information and Guest Services to confirm eligible activity, redemption and any particular dining offer. Points are not automatically cash for every purchase. A membership does not reserve a restaurant table, event seat, hotel room or game. Choose the spending limit and departure time before considering a reward threshold, and keep transport money separate.Which entrance and parking lots serve Starlight Casino Edmonton?
